I first saw this scene when I was 11 years old on local tv, I recently watched it again and I,m still amazed. The Bourne, best trilogy I've ever watched

The landcape was strangely familiar to me. Then I found out that this part was filmed around Trojanuv mlyn - near Prague. And I walk my dog there. Next time I will look for Bourne hidden behind the trees. And maybe listen to John Powell to increase atmosphere ;)

The Bourne Identity is very special. It kicked off the whole realistic action movie genre that is now used by the Bond and John Wick series. It is an excellent movie with a great soundtrack, too.

The bit just before this where he racks the shotgun is one of the most badass moments ever... 😂
@matthewkuhl7914 күн бұрын
It's not a pump-action
@TristanLane52014 күн бұрын
@matthewkuhl79 correct it's not, but he racks it closed. I suppose "snapped" might be a better word to use, as in "snapping it shut", but I tend to envision "snapping" a shotgun as opening the break action, the same way you'd say "breaking" the shotgun, which is why I said "racking it" as closing it. If there's a better word to mean solely the closing of an already broke open shotgun then please let me know.
@matthewkuhl7913 күн бұрын
@TristanLane520 There is no "racking" a single-shot shotgun. Racking moves a round into firing position, but closing the firing mechanism onto the barrel does not.

Bourne Identity directed by Doug Liman ; second installment Bourne supremacy by Paul Greengrass set the tone for intense hand to hand combat scenes. Matt Damon quite athletic fit the role perfectly. The third installment Bourne Ulimatum and fourth Jason Bourne both by Paul Greengrass - good in content - tired our eyes with shaky camera and quick cuts.

after the birds were disturbed by the gunshot, they will resettle down and they will instinctively avoid the human figure even if he was lying flat. Then he would be effectively pointed out to Bourne roughly where he was located..

People like you ruin movies for yourself. Your ocd ways of watching movies will make none of it seem " real " because it's a f"cking movie. What's even worse is that this scene is so brief and hardly anything about this film is about special effects or puts any emphasis on it. It's the same as these idiots that watch movies and think we all care what why what happens isn't realistic. You nerds miss the entire reason, people just wanna switch their brains off after work or not have to think.
