Just some constructive criticism from a big fan, I feel like you often repeat yourself and use the introduction of a weapon or listed item later in the description of it. This can get frustrating as you sometimes use the exact same phrase to describe something in the space of 2 mins. I think you could counteract this by saying the same thing with different words. I don’t want to come across as a hater because as I said I’m a massive fan and really love your channel.

My grandfather was in an armored recon in ww2...very dangerous...he told me about the German gun that shot around corners (STG44 Krummlauf) and the German Goliath mini demolition tank.He said you had to watch out for getting shot around corners and he said the mini demotion tanks never worked and one rifle shot disabled them.

The Gustav giant cannon is extremely similar to the one featured in the game "Lost Planet 2". Seeing how close each one is, I don't doubt that the rail mounted gun from Lost Planet 2 took inspiration from the Gustav.

One of the biggest misconceptions of WWII is that Maginot line didn't work. It did mostly as designed. The fact that the Germans went around was part of the plan. It funneled them mostly to the north into Belgium and Luxembourg. The French and the British were just caught with their pants down and lost any initiative it provided.

25:00 it was mainly the cost in losing one. Aircraft carriers are very vulnerable to submarines and so any aircraft carrier would need a large escort to protect it. This would require even more resources and the British navy was already stretched thin.

Another problem with the German railway guns not mentioned in this video is that the barrels of these guns experienced significant wear due to the enormous forces they had to endure. Gustav's barrel needed replacement after firing less than 50 rounds in combat, although it must be acknowledged that considerable stress had been placed on the gun during tests and training prior to deployment. Additionally, the guns could only be deployed in areas where the Germans had achieved air superiority.
