Always wanted a 190E, but they were very scarce in South Africa. Imports have stopped due to the fact that when the vehicles arrived it did not have the boot and bonnet fitted, therefore not considered a full import, this was against regulations. The ones not smashed or crashed were never for sale, cause the owners did not want to let go of it!!!! 😼 😎

I had a 2.0 auto 190e. What a pleasure to drive. My girlfriend at the time lived in boksburg and I lived in Midrand. The bilstein suspension used to make the R21 highway feel like a straight road. Even after all these years of driving more modern cars, BMWs included, I still wouldn't mind owning a 190e again.

I had a olive green 190d. From 1984. If Mercedes would build them again I'll buy one. If it's exact the same. Don't need any upgrade everything Manuel. I've had over 40cars in my life but the 190 is the best build car ever.

How are these cars forgotten? They cost over $200K in the used car market. They will only get more and more expensive in the future. No one who actually knows anything about cars has forgotten about these and their value reflects that.
