This was the first drum solo video they did. Now go check out the solos dated 2021 & 2022 and see how much he has improved. Yes, he uses a looper but all those sound come from him and the machine allows him to layer many sounds on top of each other. I also want to recommend their cover of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 which they act out in an office setting. After that bring up Home Free 9 to 5 + Beatboxing Breakdown. There are two versions of that, different in that they were performed at different concert venues with different stage setups (which is the only reason I prefer the first one with Chris Rupp) and the later one has Adam Chance.

I saw their Christmas show in mid-December and he did a special Christmas performance. Believe it or not, he did Carol of the Bells. He now uses a looper in part of his performance and harmonizes with himself. I nearly fell off my chair. There are 2 videos from the Fargo show on 12/17/22 that show how much he has changed since this 2015 performance. Totally worth watching. He got a standing ovation at the show I was at and totally deserved it.

If you think this video is amazing, there's nothing like hearing Adam in person, it seems so crazy that all of the sounds come out of his mouth. He is a master at his craft, & I highly recommend seeing him & Home Free in person, I promise you won't be disappointed. 🍟❤️

Love Adam Rupp & his insane talent. He is the best out there in my opinion. He simulates the sounds of a drum perfectly. Many drummers have commented on how good he is. He sounds so realistic. His breath control must be crazy. I heard he makes the sounds both while inhaling & exhaling. This was a few years ago & hard to believe but he is even better now. Adam is the glue that holds Home Free together. He is their secret weapon which other a cappella groups can't match.

Adam is a force of nature and a national treasure as far as I'm concerned. Before I discovered Home Free, beat boxing was nowhere on my radar. Now when I listen to the fabulosity that is Home Free, I find myself listening specifically for Adam's vocal percussion/beat boxing. It is creative, electrifying and exciting. Since this video that highlights his raw talent and skills, he's only gotten better and now creates "beat box symphonies" using a looper that will blow your socks off. There are fan generated videos on You Tube of these live performances. We Home Fries love our Adam Rupp! Great reaction!!

Yes, i agree. I think a very good explanation for this: Adam Rupp is inhuman. 😉 He is a drum alien in Angelguise. You just have to because he is so unbelievably good(and handsome too😊😍)!! Like he swallowed a drum kit. And then vocally he can also make so many more (instrument) sounds which is not normal

This was a few years ago. Since then he has added a looper and layers to his "drum solo" At his Christmas concert he did the Carol of the bells just by himself! In my opinion, they are the best acapella group! They are doing a live premiere Friday at noon central time to release an original song from their new album.

Hahaha wasn’t that fun?!!! Yeah we always say you don’t need instruments when you have Adam. I always recommend this one as he now has a looper when they are live and it helps save his voice but I love this one to show you how really talented he is! He can do so many sounds, Austin can also do harmonica, Rob whistles like a dream, Chance can do a mouth harp and Tim….well Tim can shake the house! Love your reactions and yes headphones are a must. If you want funny, Butts Medley, Full of Cheer, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, Brother. If you want bass, I Can’t Outrun You, Brothers in Arms, Helplessly Hoping. All their songs are great. Enjoy!

Adam Rupp is nothing less than PHENOMENAL and has a naturally beautiful tenor voice. I would love to know what his actual range is since you hear him drop the bass in this and hit such a beautiful clear high note in Listen to the Music which you should check out if you haven't already.
@nancyholter5646
@nancyholter5646 Жыл бұрын
I have heard that he describes his range as higher than Rob's and lower than Austin's, but given some of the sounds he produces, I'm not sure he is being generous enough to himself. But producing sounds is different than producing 'song', so maybe he is right about his singing range.

Amazing stuff, my Step Farther would have appreciated that, he was a Jazz Drummer who was highly critical of anything that was not Jazz, even thought he was once in a Blues band that supported the Rolling Stones in their early years. Every now and then he would pass a compliment to a none Jazz drummer, but blue moons were more common. On the subjet of drum solos, if you have not seen Buddy Riche Impossible Drum Solo, then I sure you would appreciate it, this is the one where he was rummored to have suffered a Stoke or a mild heart attack half way through it, what ever happend he ended up in hospital soon after.

This video is decent for showing Adam's invisible drum set routine, but it's old and not particularly good at showcasing his current level of skill. If you'd done one a couple years newer, you could have at least checked out his Billie Jean routine (with mirror jacket and moonwalk (in cowboy boots!)). If you'd gotten one from the last couple years, you could have also seen what the man can do with a loop station and layering his voice dozens of times in addition to his drum solo and DJ sections. The problem is reactors go looking for an Adam Rupp drum solo and this pops up first because it's old, and because it's so old it has more views than the newer ones, then the reactor watches the old drum solo, and their viewers go and watch it, and then the old solo gets *more* views and is even more likely to pop up, not to mention all the viewers who then go recommend this particular one to new reactors, and the cycle continues. It makes me sad because he's *so good* and so few people get to see how mind-blowingly good he actually is.
