"She basically came back from the grave to nail him"
On August 28, 1997, college student Holly Dunn doesn’t know that a sweet date with her boyfriend Christopher Maier at a campus party would take the darkest turn: Chris and Holly are attacked by a notorious serial killer ‘The Railroad Killer’. What happened that night had to be kept a secret for years, until the start of the trial, where Holly could finally face her attacker, the first time since that deadly night, and ultimately bring him down. -

Thanks for sharing Holly's amazing story!! So happy her life turned out well and sorry for all of the other unfortunate victims of this monster. Glad he got the DP, and let's just hope it's carried out sooner, rather than later. Kudos to this channel for featuring so many stories I have never heard before and putting them together so well... They're crazy alright! .......and they know it. The reality of the crazy they're admitting to is the lack of self control and decency that they lack, but should have (especially at their age). So instead of fixing it/improving self (by way of investing the time that they have......being that they're alive and physically well to do so). They'll aimlessly do as they please knowing that their works is shit for brains....and instead openly cry insanity. Being that this is an excuse that is readily available for them to use as a "get out of jail" card. I mean, when you look at the scope of all negative works, there is always an unexpected outcome that lies in wait.

Back in the 1980s, I had hired a woman, and while training her, she told me her story. She had worked in a bar, and one night, after closing, she was going to her car when a guy came up behind her trying to force her into the car. She was stabbed all over her body. How she survived, I'll never know. She had so much strength. I was in my 20s at the time, so it wasn't until years later that I came to appreciate her strength to go on with her life. I also went to high school with a guy that, a few years later, tried to stab his girlfriend to death, but she also survived. I met her when she was dating a friend of ours, and when she told me her story, and who the guy was, I was shocked. I remembered him from my high school days. He was a jock, kind of a quiet guy. I had no idea he was so violent. It's really terrifying how many violent people are just walking around and we don't even realize that someone we may know could suddenly turn into a killer. Really scary. 😢 My heart goes out to every victim and their families. 💔

@catgray1
@catgray1 Жыл бұрын
@thisisiampie6946 The woman I hired I did not know her when I hired her. The other woman was dating my husband's best friend when she told me what had happened to her (my husband's best friend didn't do that to her). I had never met her before she started dating my husband'sbest friend. I'm one of those people who strangers like to tell me their life story. I have no idea why. I could be in line at the grocery store, or a convenience store, or even a doctor's waiting room, anywhere really... and some stranger will start pouring their life story out to me. I haven't got the faintest idea why people feel compelled to do that, but it's been happening all of my adult life. Like they need to tell someone, and I have a trusting face or something, I don't know. It's not like I asked them to tell me, but ok. I guess they just need someone to listen, so I listen. The stories are usually of something they went through, like those two woman, or serious health problems, severe accident, losing a loved one, etc. I can only guess they are having trouble moving on from the traumatic event and need to talk about it to work it out. Sometimes, it's easier to talk with a stranger because they don't know you and won't dismiss your feelings like family and friends can. The stories can be really difficult to hear. It's hard to know what to say when they're done talking, but I do my best to be supportive and comforting. Maybe I was a priest or something in a past life. 😂

These evil animals that are cold callous & so vile they should not be allowed to breath fresh air, but after all the things that happened to her & the boyfriend, this truly brave girl faced him down & that takes guts. I hope he screams cries & begs for mercy when he is being executed. She is a true wonder & hero, because they may not have caught him, if not for her. I find the insanity defense as under defined because YES people who do these things re clearly not mentally well and are stupid when it comes to their ability to relate to others. If they were healthy these things wouldn't occur. So there's a degree of mental backwardness and illness, retardation, etc. There's something wrong with them and they do not or are unable to realize what because they cannot relate to what it is like to be healthy. That said .. an insanity plea would apply to every murderer, most thieves, r*pists, etc. They simply aren't right in the head. So it shouldn't be a matter of if they are or are not insane... But rather... To what degree and if or not they are able to learn from any discipline given for their actions. If they will never learn from disciplinary actions then they are absolutely insane and permanently unsafe. They should be deemed insane and locked away for good. No release. And if they don't comprehend why what they did is wrong or have the ability to understand even with help... Insane to the degree they should be permanently locked up If they show signs of possible improvement with disciplinary action prison, jail, and other measures could be applied to change those individuals. If they are aware of their evils and choosing to do it anyway... That's not insane. This man tho... He doesn't seem unaware of the evil he did. He seems so far gone to such a degree he should be permanently locked away.

Some people are just pure evil. No insanity. No mental illness. Just evil. Stop trying to find “reasons” for his actions.

Both girlies are a total badass and a BEAST! The detective brought enough justice by putting that monster behind bars and a total big clap to the survivor I couldn't even imagine the trauma she had.

Disgusting that insanity is allowed as a defense which then gives the vile criminal a lesser sentence. Even if insane, they know right from wrong whereby they dont want the same things done to them as what they did to their victims

What an incredibly strong woman Holly is!! 💗 So very glad she survived that monster's attack, was able to face him, end his killing spree, and help put him where he belonged. Much love to her. 💕

Super lucky the house she entered afterwards was an open door and she was believed and they called for an ambulance and cops for her.

Good girl Holly. I'm proud of you. As a fellow Survivor, it's very important to continue on with your life. I also was able to confront my attacker in a court of law. It was a weight off of my shoulders & very freeing. I've been an ER Nurse since 1981. Continue to be Strong, Confident & Proud. Love & Hugs. Blessed Be 😇🙏🕊️🌈💖🌹

There’s no “reason” she survived, except for luck and her fortitude. No one is overseeing our lives, once we’re no longer kids being watched by our parents.

My former sister-in-law was one of the victims. It was even featured on America's Most Wanted. Terrible tragedy for so many.

The insanity plea is a joke everybody knows exactly what they’re doing and when they’re doing it and why they’re doing it. The sad thing is there’s a lot of people on this planet that haven’t fully evolved to what we perceive as the standard for how a person supposed to act in society. Some of this is our fault society itself when we turn a blind eye to poverty stricken areas. That tend to breed the desperate and crazy. Some may say being stuck in a situation like that brings up the true animal instincts of a human . We as a Species named ourselves human beings. But in reality we’re a self domesticated animal. And with that in mind we’re all responsible for our own actions the insanity plea should never be allowed to be used.

It is so, so rare that anyone gets a true insanity plea. It's very difficult to prove that someone is completely out of touch at that moment, not premeditating crimes, and so on. Nowdays insanity pleas rarely are granted because of all the criteria that has to be met. Back then, they thought any killer must be insane. That just isn't true. The majority of killers are completely sane.

It’s not about evolution, or being the societal standard, it’s them being fucked in the head.
