Success rotates around happiness. I especially loved that because I tend to sacrifice my happiness with the mindset that I need to struggle now so I can be successful tomorrow.

Being happy in the moments that lead up to our success, not allowing the success to drive our happiness!! #Facts

Not taking the little moments for granted. I'm always worried about the future and I've been told numerous times to focus on what I have going on right now. It's easier said than done but worth it when I take a second to breathe and realize it. Also, we appreciate you for these videos. Sorry for the high pressure 😂

I love the fact that you touched on post grad depression and sadness in general. I definitely feel like I took the structure of college for granted. Not only that, but I ended a toxic 4 year relationship around graduation as well. While I know I should be super excited and optimistic about my future, I couldn’t help but feel like the way I had known my life to be for the past 4 years just ended abruptly. With that being said, I’m currently trying to take steps to be more structured, disciplined, and patient with myself. I definitely found the past few vlogs super relatable and helpful. P.S. I love your videos & you’re such a beautiful person inside and out! ❤️🥰

"dont take structure for granted." true words I graduated last year and I've just been working. Life has become nonsensical to me I feel like I have no purpose right now. I feel like I have nothing to look forward to sometimes but I am about to add structure to my life by making small goals rn ya know I need discipline like you mentioned in your last video.

Graduated in May and just noticed I'm depressed 😢 like I honestly don't know what day it is most times and it's not what I thought it was going to be. My career is not popping like they made me think it would be 😞 and hanging out with friends or finding new friends isnt as easy. If you all are still in college, ENJOY it! It's not the same when you leave B 😢
@ninarai5016 жыл бұрын
Be positive it’ll be okay... you will find the right friends soon. It is better to wait for real friends to come along, rather than to be friends with fake toxic people.

So I have been studying abroad in Spain for 3 months. Some background I took a 2 1/2 year break from college and this is my 3rd semester since my break. I suffer from severe anxiety and depression. This semester has been a terrible for my mental health and happiness is something that I haven't genuinely felt since I got here 3 1/2 months ago. I'm finally going home tomorrow (pretty positive that I failed my entire semester) and I feel so happy. I have been binge watching your vlogmas videos since I finished my last class today and I said all of this to say THANK YOU. So many emotions have done through my mind watching these and just thank you for taking me on your journey, giving advice, and leaving space for me to feel like I too can start a journey to a better version of me.

When you were talking about happiness and success I felt that. I’ve been actively doing things to be more positive daily. There’s so much truth in that. You have to find happiness in every stage of life that you’re in 💯🙌🏽🔥
@greendakini6 жыл бұрын
I’ve been trying to explain this for so long. a lot of people think happiness is a destination they can reach when they are accomplished. as if happiness isn’t a temporary emotion just like sadness, excitement, and grief. you hella helped me find an essay topic for one of my college apps. thanks bri ♥️

I appreciate the talk about happiness vs success. I've been hinging my happiness on the wrong thing. BUT to the point about money making you happier I will say this: it's not having copious amounts that makes me happy, it's having funds to go and do things/create experiences. I want to live a financially comfortable life, not be rich. I want to have the means to take my son on trips near and far to create those memories and expose him to other cultures. Thankfully things are shifting so I can begin to do those things and not be so focused on the mandatory stuff, you know?

One of my biggest struggles is time management and getting to places on time or saying I’m gonna get something done by a specific time. It’s my type B personality. I 100% felt everything you said. It's so weird how I was just discussing this recently. I'm trying to make happiness my main goal. Regardless of the expectations people have of me. I'm also trying to be thankfulness for everything God has given me. Thanks for feeding into this good energy I'm starting to feel. Also you might not read this, but thank you for motivating/inspiring me to take care of myself. When I watched you put in twists I washed and conditioned my hair and put in twits as well. (Which is weird because consuming tutorial type content usually doesn't influence my actions) I'm a hijabi so it's pretty easy to neglect my hair sometimes especially during finals and when my life feels like it's falling apart. It's kind of an out of site out of mind thing. Anyway thank you because the self-care was definitely needed.

love what you said in the video, I am reading the art of not giving a fuck, and it has opened my eyes. The insatisfaction we feel is part of our nature to drive us, so that we can better things, but this delusional idea of happiness at all time just makes us miserable. we can and should find joy on the now and find the good even in the negative things because only then we learn. Keep it up with the amazing content. XOXO
