Isn't the drive side spoke tension higher because the distance to the right side hub flange is shorter than non drive side and thus the overall horizontal force component is lower for the same spoke tension(just do the exercise of decomposing the spoke pulling force by vertical and horizontal components)? So if one wants a correctly dished wheel(centered) it has to pull the same amount left to right, and achieves that by increasing overall drive side spoke tension.

I upgraded my wheels on my cervelo to carbon fiber Mavics, back wheel split, probably coz I had to cycle over cattle grids. Who said cycling was a cheap sport 😂😂

Suspect they are the same as the yoeleo sat wheels.. that sound, the look, the specs. Have had my hassles with tubeless but I prefer to deal with it at home than having to change tubes on the road

Sounds like they use the same hub supplier as HUNT does. I recently upgraded from an Alloy wheelset from HUNT to a carbon by 9velo (yes, I did jump on that bandwagon with their cheapest RV-55 set for £530) and the freehub on the 9velo compared to the HUNT is basically like hitting the mute button on the remote after having the TV on super loud. The 9velo still makes clicking noises when freewheeling, but compared to the HUNTs they are silent. I never thought id say it but I actually miss how loud the HUNT hubs are.

Jourdain, I was adjusting the free play in my head tube and once that was corrected, I could see that something was still moving on the wheel. I notice that if I hold down the brake lever the rotor does not move but the hub does move back and forth. I checked the rear wheel and same thing. Is that just a carbon wheel thing? Rotor lock ring not tight enough? I have the new Orome Valor DT50 wheel set. Newbie bike builder here lol. Thanks for your time.

I just received a set of these wheels and can confirm I removed the white valar and th50d stickers with cotton pad and acetone Courtesy of the misses. Looks so much better 🎉

I wouldn't use them as gravel wheels. There are plenty of gravel specific wheels that allow a wider tire and are built for that terrain. I mean, there is nothing stoping you though, so if you do, let me know how you get on 😂

loved the look of the carbon weave on those wheels, what did they look like with the sun shining on them?? very beautiful, they have another pattern just like the hyper D45, mine is the same as Jourdain. The logo and writing is sticker , can feel it with my finger, but it have a clear coat on it , will be a mess it you try to peel it away

@JourdainColeman so I was 9 weeks of waiting and I asked for a eta on them. Got a reply saying they sent them 1 week later I asked for a tracking number than was told they were no sent. So at that point I asked for my money back. They refunded me. I was upset that they lied about sending them to me.

Tubeless = no, Disc = yes. I appreciate that these are hooked rims because hookless rims= Oh Hell No!!! I also appreciate the sensible steel spokes. Overall these seem like a very good quality wheelset and when you factor in the price, they would be outstanding.

The internal to external measurements aren’t good enough for a decent transition of tire to rim. They’re designed for 23mm.

is here anyone with stucking tires on this wheels? Neither I or a mechanic from a bikeshop were able to demount a normal Continental GP 25mm Tire from this wheels. They are super tight. At the moment i absolutely can not recommend this wheelset!

They are normally super tight to be fair! It take a lot of effort and time for me when using GP5000 tires.

@@JourdainColemanConti GP (not 5000), never had any issues with them before. Bikeshop were finally able to get them down. But now i have the same issue with Pirelli P-Zero. They stuck in the rim-flange (not sure if this is the correct english word :D). Both Tires are NOT tubeless. I dont know... It seems that the Wheels are the Problem here.

I've been riding this same wheelset 6000 kms in and have not had any problems mounting or taking off tires, I did originally have Conti GP5000 on them, but have changed over to Goodyear Eagle F1 with TPU innertubes, I can mount these easily with hands only. Sorry I can't help with your issues, but so far the Wheelset has been fantastic for me, only issue has been my mates complaining how loud the freehub is in bunch rides😂
