This is it - our last round of questions - and we’re wrapping things up with the AFC South. Let's check out the odds for the division over on FanDuel Sportsbook…
The defending champion Texans are the favorites at +105 - not as overwhelming a favorite as I would’ve expected. They’re followed by the Jags at +270, the Colts at +330, and the Titans at +800.

@@stevedoredandyfunk3032 The Titans will turn heads this season, you give any offense in the NFL the worst OL and 1 good WR with no run game (due to the OL) and they would struggle to do anything as well. Titans have only 6-8 players starting on offense / defense from last year, upgrades all around. Oh and the Titans had the 3rd hardest schedule last year and lost 90% of their games by 1 score.

Great video. Being a Texans fan I am gonna be biased and say we win the division but its going to be extremelyu tough. Assuming all the teams key players stay healthy this division is going to be hard to win. Anthony Richardson shown some crazy potential in the few games he played and Shane Stichen is a great HC and offense mind Trevor Lawrence was hurt the 2nd half of last season and Doug Pederson is a SB winning HC. So that team can bounce back Titans could be a surprise team, they had a solid off season, and who knows how Will Levis will plan out So I'm not taking any team lightly. I just think the Texans did a lot to build off last season. I love almost every move except for our corners on defense. Stingely has been hurt often so my fear is if he goes down we could be weak on the back end of the defense. However the front and linebackers are looking to be much improved. If the Texans offense isn't top 10 then we are doing something wrong. I just don't see how with a healthier o-line, CJ in year 2 throwing to Nico/Tank/Diggs/Schults/Woods/Metchie/Noah with Joe Mixon as RB we don't become a pretty dangerous offense. I'm ready for this team to finally make a deep playoff run and I'm hoping this season is the start of an excellent run of Texans football

Texans look very good and I think Kay nailed it with the biggest wildcard in the league being AR. I could see a season where the Colts beat the Texans twice and win the division, or the Texans run away w the division and the Colts end up with a top 5 pick (0% change Colts runaway from Texans record wise). I just dont see the Jags taking a step forward, and I dont trust Levis at all.

Respect. Texans have a REALLY tough schedule but I envy how they've built around the young QB. Colts have an easy schedule but wish they would have taken a risk or two personnel wise on the defense. Jags are a divisional dark horse seemingly every year. Fuck the Titans. I think the Colts should have a top 10 offense as well. Worried about the back end of the defense with all the gunslingsers in our division. Hoping the pass rush can help the young corners as they continue to grow in our defense. AR has shown potential. As far as I can tell, we are status quo on the team building front and haven't yet pushed our chips in. If AR goes crazy this year expect the Colts to do what the Texans did this offseason and grab a couple big pieces. Let's go WEEK 1!

Oh wow, somebody from national media that actually seems to be aware that the Colts were almost winners of the AFC South over the Texans. It kind of amazes me how high everyone seems to be on the Texans, and how low they seem to be on the Colts, when basically they were only separated by ONE play last year. With AR returning healthy and smarter, I have full confidence that the Colts are winning at least 12 games this year and taking the AFC South title back. This is why I like Kay. She seems to have a lot more in depth understanding of the NFL than most other "experts".

@OSG_Graced Ай бұрын
The Colts roster was also better, and the Texans dealt with injuries all year, but with the upgrades Nick Caserio made to Houston I’d argue they’ve got the better roster now in all but RB because JT is a beast. Also have to think about the Texans injuries vs the Colts in that final game, our entire O-line was hurt except 2 guys and Tank Dell was out else that game probably wouldn’t have been close.
@carykneller1159
@carykneller1159 Ай бұрын
@@OSG_Graced Ya some valid points. But also in that game the Colts were playing with Gardner Minshew as QB, they also had one of their better CBs out for basically the entire season (Dallis Flowers), and their best Safety was also out of that game (Julian Blackmon), and the free safety had been hit or miss (mostly miss) all season. That's why the Texans torched the Colts secondary so badly from the very first play in that game. So as far as injuries go, I would say the Texans were in much better shape. Not just for that game, but also the entire season, since the Colts were playing with.... Gardner Minshew as their QB. Minshew isn't a terrible QB, but he also isn't great. I honestly think Steichen just did an absolutely incredible job of getting the absolute most of of Minshew that could possibly be gotten. Minshew seems like a nice enough guy, but I'm afraid he is going to be terribly exposed playing for the Raiders this year. But either way, yeah I think the Texans and Colts have roughly comparable rosters, and they both seem to have found great coaches now. I think the main thing that is going to separate them is the QBs. I think Richardson is going to be the best QB in the league, IF he can stay healthy. This year is going to be the test. Is AR just going to be injury prone and therefore basically a bust? Or was last year just a quirky fluke of fate, and he will remain relatively healthy going forward? I foresee the Colts or Texans owning the AFC South for the next several years, depending on whose QB is healthy during any given year. And yes, I am saying the Jags won't really be a factor, despite the fact the Colts never beat them in Jacksonville. I can't figure out why so many people think Trevor Lawrence is so great. I'm not saying he sucks, he just does NOT deserve all the hype he gets, imo. The great part is, we get to see which team gets the leg up on the AFC South with the very first game of the season this year! It should be fun!
@duketogo25
@duketogo25 Ай бұрын
This is at least a reasonable take. I don't understand why people believe the Texans are so far and away better than the rest of the division. They were able to take advantage of the Jags collapsing, like they did to the Thumbtacks the year prior. Not to say that that's easy to do, but the Texans are not the damn '99 Rams.

The Texans will be fun to watch and I'm rooting for them, but they went 10-7 with an easy schedule and a lot of their wins were squeakers. A number of their losses were to bad teams. They seemed to play at the level of the competition and therefore most games were close regardless of competition. If they can break that and impose their will, they'll be fine. If not, well - it'll be a step back with a tougher schedule.
@KWCline91
@KWCline91 Ай бұрын
To be fair, they weren’t expected to win the division and they were a young team. Obviously they wouldn’t have succeeded playing this year’s schedule with last year’s team. Henceforth why they went out and got the additions they had. It’ll be challenging for sure, but the Texans should be able to increase.

Sir the only bad teams they lost to were the panthers and falcons. Jets just didn’t have a qb. Besides those three they lost to the Ravens, Jags, Colts, and Browns all 4 of them had winning records and were in the hunt for the playoffs. Houston Played 4 playoff teams last season and played 7 teams with winning records who they beat all of them to say that’s an easy schedule is laughable. Maybe it was easy before the season but as it unfolded those teams were better than expected

I think it’s a multitude of factors. One being because they didn’t see enough of Richardson to know how he will do in a complete season. My personal opinion is he is awesome. Texans added 1K rusher, Joe Mixon, which is something we’ve been missing in our arsenal. Texans also added Danielle Hunter to the defense and Stefon Diggs. Pretty big additions, not to mention Tank Dell is healthy and ready to play as well. I would have ranked Colts above Jags, but I think Lawrence being proven over Richardson gives them the edge.
