fuyugaki persimmon tree can grow in In Massachusetts cold and snow?

I’m not familiar with this fuyugaki variety but did a quick search and most websites state that this is only compatible with zone 8-9. Persimmons are pretty cold hardy so you may be able to find the ones that are compatible with your zone. Thanks for watching my videos Steven.

@steven I also live in MA and I have 2 Asian persimmon non astringent varieties. The jiro does well in our area I had fruit for the 1st time last year

0 f is where asian persimmons start getting significant damage, outright death at around -5 f. They are also sensitive to hard freezes after they have started waking up.

Type 'giombo' takes the most cold damage. Type 'ichi k k jiro' tends to take the least amount of cold damage.
