It is time to get some bigger shoulders, and we are going to do that with an old school style bodybuilding dumbbell workout for you guys over 40. Bodybuilders back with the Arnold times, were known for their big round shoulders. They probably only worked shoulders once a week, but they would put a lot of volume into that workout to get a huge pump and gains for the shoulders. They would need a full week of recovery because of the volume in the workout. The exercises in this workout are designed to help you build bigger and more full shoulders.
Exercise #1: NEUTRAL GRIP SHOULDER PRESS
Exercise #2: DUMBBELL LATERAL RAISE
Exercise #3: CHEST SUPPORTED REVERSE FLY
Exercise #4: DUMBBELL SHRUGS

Get busy, get after it, and God bless you, my brother! With a set of adjustable dumbbells, I find this set to be exactly what I need. I notice the difference when I put a t-shirt on.

Great Video, Gary. Im doing your tri-con for arms and loving it. This one will be added to my routine. It would be nice to see a video from you on how to safely increase the neck size as this always gets flabby as you age :-(

Thanks. I was so ignorant and stupid in my youth in the 80s when I started out at the gym, I did not take the rear of my shoulders into consideration as I did my shoulders. And now trying to get the rear to come up and join the front and mid section seems to be impossible. Regret not doing it right from the start.

I’ll try this 20 degrees pec lifts or whatever you call them? Lol, I’ve also just seen this guy doing 1 shoulder shrugs at a time, he gets more range by doing just 1 arm at time

My biggest problem is arthritis in my hands, but you have some techniques different than what I've been doing that should take some stress off. Looking forward to giving it a shot.

Bry try using” lifting straps “that go around your wrists and wrap around the dumbbells….i have horrible hand arthritis too…works for me
