They really did, but they where getting TORN UP from the rubber and dirt and with how much they are worth now if he keeps using them they will just lose value and the whole look aesthetic will be gone because the finish will be destroyed. The Rays will take a beating for sure but can take it and still look great and I think they fit the NITTO rubber better than the Blitz's and its another sponsorship to help run the car so all in all I think its a good call.

White I don't think would look good with the fade on the car. It wouldn't suite it nearly as much as black or chrome. There is a reason many don't run chrome though because with the rubber and dirt and heat constantly attacking it the rims lose there finish after a few runs and eventually it would be permanent and just look terrible. So I think black is the way to go, will always look good and doesn't show dust/dirt and fits the big NITTO meats well IMO

Knowing you guys probably installed the A/C compressor on the r34. But to prevent further damage I’d say check the A/C system for metal debris because if the old one seized high chance it sent metal through the system and when the new one is installed it’ll seize up like the old one.

I know the issue with your ac compressor i restored one this week had same issue after you need to take the rear section off (not pulley side) and hit the shaft the opposite direction (plastic hammer doesnt need alot) this will free off the insides and then put cover back on the rear

Aesthetically it would look better if the splitter was lower but any lower and on the bank transitions and the clipping points it would get absolutely destroyed and if it gets broken off and goes underneath the car it could A) tear up the bottom of the car or B) Cause him to crash So I think its gonna stay roughly at the height it is currently

@@tstuff1213 the point of the splitter is downforce. At that height it's gonna create lift and make the car push.

@@duanebailey6253 That splitter isn't even adjustable as with many other cars in formula drift it is molded into the bumper mainly for looks, down force does not matter. Like Chris Forseberg and Vaughn Gitten Jr have both one several championships with absolutely basically no aero on the car to create downforce or control the air. With drifting it really doesn't matter that much. Also in some cases you want lift on the front of the car so that it can keep moving forward while the car is in drift, remember in drifting you don't want a ton of grip in the front to the point the car doesn't stay in drift because too much in the front and it could drive out of the slide instead of staying in it. Also the fastest they go is like 80mph in drift so the aero will only play so much of an aspect. On a road race car you are totally correct you want to slam the sucker but on a drift car it really doesn't matter

@@tstuff1213 sadly it does matter this is why he's always saying he's trying to grip the car up. Id put money it gets removed. This splitter will have a negative effect on grip since it will lift the front. Notice the biggest portion of it is on the outside. It doesn't have to be adjustable either you can move it around with ride height and what not. I'm not saying slam it on the ground but a foot of the ground will hurt.

@@duanebailey6253 I agree in the past there were at times issues getting the car to grip up. But even though the lifting action would lift the front of the car up it would actually in turn push the back of the car down thereby making it have more rear grip so there does need to be a balance. And from what I saw at texas and the other tracks when he had basically the same body kit if not the same he never had an issue with it pushing in from lack of front grip. Also when he talked about gripping the car up he never said he has run out of grip to add to the car as far as I can recall he was limited by the power he was making so he couldn't keep gripping the car up because it would stop spinning the tires hence why they have a new higher power engine setup. Obviously Aero does play some part BUT like I said previously, previous champions have won without any functional aero on the car. Also with him adding way bigger/better tires on the car with Nitto grip will not be an issue I think
