I first heard Ross Daly on BBC3’s Late Junction in the early 2000s. That IS a programme that plays “a selection of unpopular music” in a wide variety of genres, currently (2024) broadcast late on Friday nights, when I’m free from any outside disturbance. And it’s also available on the BBC Sounds app. Apart Ross’ fabulous music, I’ve also been introduced to the likes of Arvo Pärt, Värttinä, Salif Keita, Mongolian thoat singers, Brian Eno, Nic Jones and various types of jazz, ambient, folk, classical, minimalist, world, etc, etc. and just plain quirky music and my life has been greatly enriched by it.
