Upgrading GTR Audio! (PLUG AND PLAY INSTALL)

In today's video we upgrade the 2018 Nissan GTR's subwoofers and amplifier. Like majority of cars, the factory bass is lacking and we were able to get our hands on a simple plug and play kit. How much power is the factory bose amp?

@@kevncars. no problem. Would it make sense just to replace the subs but keep the factory amp for now. I have 2 Rockford p1 woofers just lying around?

@@stckyjoey1 That would be ideal, but I’m not too sure if the factory amp would have enough power for them. In this kit the factory amp just powers the aftermarket amp via a harness to be able to power the new Focal subs.

does this increase the mid and highs? I think the low end of the stock system is plenty

It increases them drastically. It's also very nice that you can adjust them through the settings as well, as we do like a little more low end bass along with our mids and highs.

Does this effect active noise canceling. I get noise from subwoofers super annoying if I cover mics on headliner it goes away did you disconnect yours

No we didn’t disconnect ours, but I believe on newer models you do need to disconnect (2020+). I could be wrong tho

Where did you run the power wire too?

The power wire comes off the new amp and is spliced to the oem harness. The company that produces these manage all the wires and tuning of the amp themselves. Only thing you need to do is splice 2 wires! ( Shown at 3:47 )
