Listen, her place isn't great and many items look cheap including those paintings (except the one her friend did. That painting had depth and was really great❤️.) Those bathroom shelves in the living room look bad and remind me of a toilet.The couch she got is very nice indeed but a designer would set things up better and would know how to clean the skylights. There are renter friendly upgrades even non designers know how to do. It seems like the young lady didn't use her imagination. I don't troll people and often dip out instead of giving feedback the poster won't like. She can use people's honest opinion to grow. Alexandra Gater is an interior designer. She designs and installs with her team on KZbin. This lady's apartment is prewar so she should check out Rajiv Surendra who apartment is so charming with the upgrades he made. There are many designers and home enthusiasts she could learn from because girl... This.Aint.It. All said with love🥰.

I stick to only fabrics that my cats can’t destroy anymore. Which is mostly velvet. I had a small rug similar to yours but it was a tiger. My cats did the same and I ended up giving up and selling it.

@JuliaCostanzo4 ай бұрын
@@AlyssaCarter-m1i please elaborate on the lack of style/ cohesion bc I completely disagree. Throughout the video I make many comments of how even the color on the bathroom is brought throughout. Majority of the palette is neutrals and earth tones with art and decor bringing in the color. Confused on “exposed clutter” as well. Thank you for your rude comment on my home, and the encouragement of negativity on my page. I’m sure your house would be featured in AD 🫶🏼 Friendly reminder this is a small studio apartment, that I rent, which does not allow a lot of space to renovate the way I like. Also renting in NYC is very high and I am only in my 20s still starting in my career and a long way from financial freedom. But I am working hard towards it. Have a great day 🩷

No disrespect but are you always a nasty person or are you joking? 🙄😂😂😂 Seriously, why the nasty comment? Do you even know what it takes to put yourself out there? And yeah, I’m sure the content creators are probably used to shitty people/comments (you), but why? Why be mean/nasty to someone you don’t even know? BTW, the irony of what I’m doing is not lost on me. I know I’m not being kind to you, hopefully though you’ll step back and think about why you felt the need to be “disrespectful.” I personally am amazed at what people can do with such small spaces. Anyway, we don’t need to tear anyone down on here. I hope you and anyone reading this has a great day. 😊

@@BB-dy6iuI find there's a lot of people on the internet that just watch videos and make disrespectful comments. For every one nice comment there is 100 that aren't. I will usually comment on the rude ones and point that out but their usual response is what is a free country and I can comment if I want. And I'm sitting here thinking but you can't watch a video that you like and comment on that instead. Guess not and it's really sad. There's a difference between interior decorating and interior design anyone who knows English should understand that or at least look it up before commenting. I know I have zero sense of style, even though I know what I like, my budget is typically on the lower end which doesn't bother me. You can still make a place look homey and inviting even on a budget. And besides these people complaining don't actually live with you and don't actually know you. So why they make rude comments I have no idea. To be honest, I've been doing the whole basket and bins thing since I was a teen because my balance issues. And here we are 23 years later and there's a whole huge craze on it now? And I'm not judging but I'm saying you need to be aesthetically pleasing and pay all this money why? Most of my furniture is custom made by my cousins or from the dollar store. As is most of my decor that I didn't make with my nieces or nephews over the course of the last decade helping to raise them full-time. It just baffles me. I always say your home is meant to be lived in it's never going to be Pinterest worthy or Instagram where they 100% of the time if at all if you want to show off and fake pictures of how your house looks on one given day go for it. But if you have a significant other, kids, or pets it's never going to stay that way unless your OCD. And yes people are allowed to have stuff each person leaves a different lifestyle, each person has their own budgets, their own hobbies and their own bills to pay. It sucks that people have to be so judgmental when it comes to others posting content. Which they themselves are also free to do but they won't because they would rather judge than be judged. And it's sad really because I watched these types of videos for noise when cleaning house or studying, motivation, or inspiration. And I think people forget that that's what these types of platforms were meant to be for. My nephews like to call our style throw and go or put and run. You can find things within minutes, the kids are more independent and everything is easy to move (because I do move a lot due to circumstances Beyond my control) and everything is functional for needs. The kids have always understood because of my balance issues things have to be picked up off the floor when they're done with it because it is a safety hazard for me. And it also teaches them they have to put their stuff away. Is it perfectly placed absolutely not. But that's okay.
