Hi Rachel.....I love, love your show! You make me want to try ALL your recipes. I am so happy to have stumbled upon your show. Question: on this pie recipe, can I cook the apples ahead of time....like a day or two, keep it in the fridge till I am ready to make the pie? Or do you think the apples would turn brown?

YUMMY!!! Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful! I have to share something that I hope you get a chuckle out of it. I am learning (from you) on how to use the 2 wooden spatulas/spoons. Well, the very first time I tried it I had ground beef flying everywhere and it was a little awkward to me. I am a strong right hander so using my left hand was a little crazy. I have am proud to say after many weeks of good cooking with Rachel I am finally a semi pro!!! Thank you so much for making it fun for me to cook now. Homemade apple pie looks delicious and reminds me of growing up. My mother was a great cook and loved to bake apple pies. Sometimes she would add red hots to the mix. That was the bomb. I love the idea of pecans…perfect pairing. Thanks for recipe.

Another wonderful, delicious recipe that I must try. I so enjoy all your videos and just watching you. About the waxed paper….years ago my mother used to make chicken pieces that were breaded and then wrapped in wax paper, which she baked in a gas fired oven. Never had a problem. Still here and I am hardly young. Great recipe and technique, Rachel💓

I would like to hear how your Mother baked chicken in wax paper, I have never put wax paper in the oven, I was taught never to do that! LOL

@@shirleymarsh693 as far as I can remember, my mother breaded the individual pieces of chicken, wrapped each piece in waxed paper, put them on a baking sheet and baked them until done. The chicken was really moist. It was really delicious and my mother was a fantastic cook and baker. As I said this was many years ago.
