I have always enjoyed your talks about how old buildings were made. I 100% agree with overlapping 50% on panorama shots. Nice video, David!

I straight up stole your technique for putting black frames in front of and behind the pano images. That is brilliant and I immediately started using that! Thank you!!!

I agree, architecture is your style of photography.

Thank you Bassangler!!! It took me long enough. 😂🤷🏻♂️

I feel the same about urban photography. When I’m shooting something, I will wait until there’s no people or cars in the shot. Don’t like getting the suspicious look. Also, I prefer to do panos for large objects. I don’t like the distortion I get using ultra wides. I’m glad you’re still doing photography videos!

Thank you George, I might have a skip or two coming up but for the most part, the Saturday schedule is what I will be going will for now. I have a couple of videos in the pipe line now so we’ll see how that goes. 📸😎

I found your description of the brick wall so interesting, especially since I know so little about construction but like architecture. I've done lots of street photography but, like you, I'm really an urban landscape photographer. I'll photograph people but they're secondary to the scene for me.

Yeah, people are mostly in my photos for scale… haha. Thank you!!!

Chattanooga has an awesome history that is still preseved in some civil war battle sites. You can feel the vibe when photographing them.

Hey David, at 0:53 those empty workspaces have a vibe of Covid "work from home" flash back :(
@davidsaylorsАй бұрын
That is the event that made it look like this. The entire staff that worked in these buildings are now all working from home.

While you were talking about the panos, I remembered that Lumix allows panos in camera. It is a pretty neat feature.
@davidsaylorsАй бұрын
I had that feature in my XT3 if memory serves me. I am not certain now, but I did have a camera that would do internal panos at one point.

I like the term, Streetscape. It is basicly anything you can photograph in a public space. It includes people, architecture, abstract. If you are just in nature, call it landscape. If you are in a public area, call it streetscape.
@davidsaylorsАй бұрын
That does apply realy well, thank you for that.

I like when you find some neat things like in one of your other videos where you can see where the street level was raised because the windows are at knee height or in this video where the fireplaces are still in place from a building that was torn down. You're kind of like an Urban Archaeologist. 🦕🦖

That is my super power. Noticing things that are no longer relevant...lol. I do enjoy looking for things from the past like that. Thank you so much!!!
