"We Are the World" was a charity single for Africa in 1985. It was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie who sang on the song also. It sold over 20 million copies. The guy who sang with "such passion" is Bruce Springsteen and "this chick" was Cyndi Lauper. The guy with a "unique tone" was Bob Dylan. The two guys "stealing the show" were Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder. You're right this was one of the greatest musical collaborations ever.

The new narratives of identity politics has ruined many of theses moments by "celebrating them as special" for something that was commonplace 20 years earlier. Bob Geldoff is was the inspiration for Do They Know it's Christmas by Band-Aid in 1984 made the song to raise money for starving people in Africa. In early 1985, Bob helped Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson create this song for the same reason. Then in July 1985, the LIve Aid concert was held to raise money for those people.

As a YT reactor, you would do well with (and REALLY enjoy) a series reacting to each and every person who has a solo line in this song as they are ALL legends in their own right! An "I react to everyone who sang on We are the World". I think you would be blown away Michael!

You do not know bro? The guy singing with the glasses on and the gray hair was Ray Charles! Legendary pianist and singer!

Some of the biggest music legends of all time combined in one song... and you only know Michael Jackson? There's a lot of phenomenal music to discover, young man.

Such a great song by all big super stars of the 80's (to name a few: Cyndy Lauper (with the yellow hair) and the two guys stealing the show Bruce Springsteen (with the raw voice) and Stevie Wonder) A good project to raise funds for africa, following example of the live aid (do they know its Christmas) hitsong, sadly most of the money raised probably never made it to the people who needed it😬

I loved watching your face light up when the Boss and Stevie Wonder were going back and forth. You have a nice smile too.🎶🎵

I think you don’t realize just who is singing. Only the greatest singers of our generation. You need to read the list of performers. You have reacted to many of them. Music was much better back then.
