I wanted to thank you for this workout. I am a volunteer firefighter in my mid 40's looking for a routine to help me with my ability to handle the tasks and equipment of the fire ground while wearing 45 pounds of equipment. I tried this workout today and found out that this is the workout and routine that I have been looking for. I like the explosiveness, the constant work load, and the full body moves. Thank you, this workout should help me out greatly.

Done this workout today 3 sets with 1 min rest between series. Felt sick half way through. I've competed in mma and bjj tournaments and this workout is the closest I've come to replicating that instensity outside of live sparring. Thanks dude, this will definetly be part of my weekly workout routine during lockdown!

Phil, you have become must watch for me just like Maxwell, DeFranco, Cressey, Contreras etc. I sincerely hope people realize and appreciate the absolute GOLD you're giving away, especially the warm-up. Your warm-up is great and very similar to mine but mine took YEARS to learn from many many sources. I do it in a different order and would advise it to anyone who, like me, is either heavy, a big man or has a history of back pain do it in the following order: -do very deep and slow belly breathing first to absolutely relax the lower back and prepare it psychologically for the stress to come. You should be lying stomach-down and look like you're taking a nap while you do the deep breathing. -Then do cobra variations (cobras are the second to last warm-up exercise in this video for those who don't know). -Then bird dogs (the final exercise in this video) and variations done RIGHT (look up McGill and Gentilcore for tips, Seedman has some advanced variations as well). -Then all kinds of hip circles and a static or PNF hip stretch especially if you're going to do mma, Muay Thai or bjj. Then whatever you want from what Phil shows. I would do the complexes last and probably only do a few as those are basically a workout unto themselves. I would also maybe only 1 do explosive leg exercises and 2 regular instead of 3 but that's me since I'm heavy and older. Thanks for all the quality content you provide.

Great workout. Felt great! Some I was able to explosively do for 40 second and others only 20. That shows I dont have even muscle distribution or was not activating a mental flow state (probably both). Also I really appreciate the dynamic warm up a lot! I added in a few things for myself like single leg good mornings, kneeling hip/lat/tri pulls, etc, and a stagnant stretch after. I'm for sure sticking to your workouts for a while on top of my rugby standards now that I finished my last stamina program. I've been learning from you on IG and have always been impressed! Actually Sid Outlaw got me onto you! Thank you, you are very appreciated! Teaching is a noble and important gift and you sir have that gift and are so kind to share! I can't thank you enough!

mike private he’s very fast for his size, but a gymnast would do the movements with more control and range of motion. For his purposes though, he doesn’t need the extreme rom of a gymnast, and needs more explosive speed, so he’s doing great.

This is awesome and no doubt good training for anyone not just for combat sports like mma! I also love natural natural movement/parkour training as well which also involves elements of this style of training along with lots of climbing, jumping, quadrupedal, swinging etc, the Beaty of it is like this it can be done anywhere and also out in nature. The natural world becomes your free gym full of some of the best equipment ever! Eg trees, rocks and rock formations, logs, stones various terrains etc! Workout variations and intensities are endless only limited by imagination and abilities! At 56 years old I use this style of training along with some weight training to keep myself as physically and mentally young as possible!. Also combat training and martial arts are also great for maintaining your physical capabilities as one ages.

This is a phenomenal circuit. I do believe it would be better suited for building Vo2 max vs lactic acid threshold. The movements are mostly plyometric and require max effort for the same amount of time as the break. For lactic threshold training a better approach might be working at 80 to 88% of your max heart rate for 30mns. I use this with all of my long distance athletes and the plyometric approach for explosive athletes. I'm going to try this circuit though, love the movements!
