Absolutely!!
It's certainly a very efficient way to do it with no fiddly bait stops required and it leaves plenty of hook point showing. It'll save you a ton of time re-baiting your hook, which means MORE time fishing.
In this video I show how to make a banded hook length which is suitable for this method of hooking corn and also for using with any type of bait you want to attach with a bait band.

This is a great technique, which can also work with boilies and meat. pellet band on a hair is very versatile, you can also use it in the normal way for pellets (no shit, Sherlock!) but also worms and maggots and my final tip is mould paste around the band or pellet in the band and then mould paste around that (absolute killer!).

Hook my corn exactly the same a band is best because you can just swoop to a pellet if need be

Totally agree. Used this method for hooking corn for both pole and feeder fishing and it’s great. You’d think with the shock of the cast on feeder the corn would come off but it doesn’t.

Fishing banded corn at approximately 50 metres…roach were loving it…never once came off.

Always thread your line through the bottom first not the top when using a knotless knot

Cool idea but we all know corn can drop off any rig at anytime but feeder fishing with regular casts like 10mins this could be devastating 😢

Trust me it works. The bait band being elastic, expands inside the piece of corn. I’ve used extensively and not lost a piece. Quality tinned corn works best. Choose your grain carefully if you have problems with it coming off.

Yes that’s right. The band opens up inside the piece of corn and holds the corn in place. Tight lines

Yes but not everyone has those in their box and it’s extra expense if you already have bait bands or banded hooklengths to hand.

The background is the side tray off my fishing box. That said quite often the line we use is transparent but shows up better over a black background.
