I’m so glad I’ve found all of your videos. I’m going to Rome soon for a few days and I am determined to learn a few phrases before going. We have a translator, but I don’t like not knowing at least a few things. Now I just hope I get the pronunciation right😅

Heading to Rome on Sunday, so this video was perfect timing! Thank you! I have been studying the language a bit, and a sentence that I plan to use a lot is, C’e un buon ristorante/gelateria/trattoria qui vicino? That way, I can get recommendations from locals :) Hopefully my grammar and pronunciation is correct lol 🤓

What's the correct way in Rome to ask for your restaurant food to be wrapped up for take out. Colloquialisms are very regional in Italy, and the answer I get to this question is all over the place, probably due to the region nature of the language.

This is v helpful as we're coming to Spain, France & Italy in weeks. Is Italiano most close to French or Spanish? Based on my elementery Francae & even less knowledge of Spanish there are much similar sounding (same) words noted / heard here! (2) from movies, is it Italian men only use lot of hands & facial when talking & not the ladies or north& south differ & when talking in Italiano they do that? (or also in English too) French etc.( note, most humans when romantic or ecstatic or angry or v sad they naturally use facials/ hands etc more for sure, with rare exceptions)

Rome Inside Buongiorno, Thank you for your response. Since in fairly new to your channel?? So far I understand you live there in Italy. I one day would love to go to Bari where my late Great Grandfather is from my late Nona ? Is from the Naples region ,but I would like to hear from you ? As to what area of Italy is nice in your view? And what part of Italy do you live in ? I was born in the Bronx N.Y. Anyway I know you are a busy young lady and a Bellissima young lady at that, so I will say Grazie for sharing your videos which I feel are very helpful . I'm looking forward to talking more if possible and learning more . Grazie, Ciao. 😊

I love this video, I needed this video, I need more videos like this!!! There’s a few phrases that I’ve been saying completely wrong 😂 My problem is I can put words together in Italian and can usually make myself understood, but correct sentences, yeah... different story Quick question, I thought “bagno” was only in a home and “i servizi” was when you are out in public or have I misunderstood or is there something I’ve missed?
@RomeInside
@RomeInside 6 жыл бұрын
I've never heard of anybody asking for "i servizi" actually... We usually just say bagno! :D I've heard some people occasionally saying toilette (french pronounciation) but "bagno" is totally fine

I would like to know how to make hair and nail appointments: I would to book an appointment. I’d like to get my hair done. I’d like to get my nails done. I need to get my roots done. I need to to dye my hair, only the roots. Get a haircut. Get a hair color. Also! Every time someone thanks me I never know what to reply: I want to say: no problem, or it’s okay. Or should I say you’re welcome? And what to say to puppies and other dogs? Like: oh you’re so cute! 😂 And is it okay to pet other people’s dogs? Thank you!! 😘
@RomeInside
@RomeInside 6 жыл бұрын
When someone says "grazie" you can either say "prego" or "di niente" (these are the 2 most common options but you have more)! I always pet people's dogs cause I love dogs so much! Sometimes I ask the owner first, especially if it's a bigger dog or a particular breed like chiwawas. Usually you can tell from both the owner's and the dog's reaction if they're ok with petting their dog/them 😂
