USING RIPCHARTS to CATCH MORE FISH how to understand this data!

Thought I would give you a VERY BRIEF, simpletons explanation of why these factors are SO important to improve your catch rates for offshore, pelagic fish species like tuna and marlin.

Ripcharts and sst charts are good a better way is find the long liners and what they are catching thats what we did.

I am subscribed to ripcharts, the free services available aren't very accurate or up to date. it has definitely improved my fishing success

after you find a stretch to troll / drift, how do you make sure you're staying true to your lines on the water? do you take coordinates with you and estimate it or is there a way you overlay these charts onto your plotter? great video anyways!

you can save the map for usage offline as there is often no phone reception out there... definitely a game changer and will catch you more fish

Another carefully considered vid appreciate your work. Did you see on Rip charts the warm water last Christmas new year north of Port Mcquarie like 25 degrees close inshore. Have you heard how was the fishing for palagics was. interested to know

Hi, no I didn't hear but the water temps rarely lie.... For example the 19 degree water off Jervis bay etc at the moment you can bet there are Yellowfin tuna in there

@@BaitBallin The heads at Jervis are at 16.4 at the moment. You got to go put 35nm to find 19 degrees. Jervis is a cold son of a biatch place. We in Sydney have got 19 degrees 10nm off shore. Desperate for my first good yellow fin

Port Macquarie is still the closest town in nsw to warm ater current. 4nm to 20.3degrees

Hi man, that I do not know tbh. Getting the sea temp, current and upwelling edge aligned with weather conditions actually good enough to get a trailer boat out in is not ally hard enough and will produce the good

I don't really think so. Port Phillip is best figured out by local knowledge tbh. A small bunch of anglers nail the biggest and most fish there. My wife's cousins own complete angler Beenleigh and they are bloody gun fishermen there.

Hi. From 14.52 to 15.10, you mentioned to fish on the edge of upwellings. Can you please elaborate why the edge is good? Why do bait hang off the edge of these upwellings and not in them? Cameron

Think of a whirl pool, swirling upwards from the centre at the bottom then widening outwards towards the top. When there is an upwelling all the nutrients being brought up from the deep is pushed out to the edges at the surface.
