Get one, a Bentley’s workshop manual, and learn how to work on it. The people that hated these cars and think that they’re money pits, are those that chose to take them to someone to fix, except those someones were mechanics that glue valve covers on. It’s just better to learn about your car, and learn to do it right by watching guys like this. They’re not for everyone, they are aging cars, but if you have the passion for them, and acquire the necessary skills to keep up with all the things that break, and to do it properly, there’s no reason you can’t have one. They’re not as expensive to keep up with, if you treat them like they should be.

That is exactly what happened to me just a couple weeks ago on my 07 Audi Q7 which I've owned since new and only has 68K miles. Once it was complete 2 weeks later an older woman rear ended me! The insurance company would NOT pay to fix the car! All that work was a complete waste! The insurance settlement is hardly enough to buy a replacement! I'm out a car and paying for someone else's negligence...ARGHHH!!!

There are shitty mechanics all over the world, in every country, in every village I would say. Sometimes I can't blame them, working on time/money stress of rushed customers, but a BMW deserves better than that

Znao sam brate da si nas, takva pedanterija i bolestina je samo sa nasih prostora! Kanal ti je vrh posvecenost detaljima je opsesivna, ciscenje i brisanje svega pre vracanja i zamene dela je haos. Iskreno zavidim ti sto sve ovo umes i volis, a naravno i sto imas mogucnost. Samo udri.

Wonderful job. Your attention to detail is awesome. If I could own a e38 750il you would certainly be the man to restore it.

When my E38 left me stranded in some remote holiday resort, with a severely leaking water pump, I found out the hard way that contact glue was used to seal the two o rings that seal on the two water pipes that run to and from the rear of the engine. You can imagine how much fun that was. M62 engine btw.

So many bad mechanics destroying perfectly good cars. I have an F30 with the n13 engine and had a valve cover gasket issue. When I went to a shop here in Singapore, I was told that only 2 shops here knew how to replace it properly and wanted to charge me $600. I bought the gasket for $40, went home, and replaced it myself. It's really hard to find good mechanics .. many of them don't even believe in using torque wrenches. You are an inspiration!.
