BUILD: George's Backup Lower

Built this one using the Matrix 5k motor. A lot slower than the other build that we did with the Lonex a2 but it should conserve power a lot better.

Great video as always. Could you clarify how the MOE affects the meshing of the gears please? Do you meant that it makes the gears go a bit crocked? Thanks

The motor sits at an angle which causes the pinion gear to be misaligned, causing dying cat screeching. Two aspects about the MOE that cause this: 1) Backstrap can cause grip itself to be misaligned with body due to too much material. Solution is to file away at backstrap until it fits flush with body. 2) If it's the plastic motor plate, one of the motor alignment brackets is too big, causing the motor to sit at an angle. Solution is to buy a metal MOE plate (gl finding one) or to shave down the bracket until the motor aligns correctly. Source: I had one.

Hey VRA, I have kind of a tall order. I know that it's quite a difficult task, but I have recently put together a pretty beast little small field / open CQB fun (basically a mid range MK-18) and I and having a spread of about >10fps. I was wondering what could I do to get a better spread (preferably ~3fps spread) and how much would it cost of you could do it. Thanks man Regards - Omega Customs

I think it would probably be good just to get a lower ratio gears for both the trigger response and rof overall but his gun is his gun and i might just love fast guns too much.

you lose efficiency in the power consumption but yeah that's usually how i do it.

Yeah the power consumption can be a downside but I'd always rather have the trigger response. 16:1 gears could always be a good idea though too.

its a trade off. In this case I felt that the trigger response would be good enough and the added bonus of saving power especially as a backup was worth using.

I am trying to build a ROF gun with around 400fps i was looking at siegetek cyclone revolution 10.44 and i just am not too sure on what parts to use and what ro do to them, short stroke, swiss cheese ect... Can u recomend some parts its a v2 gear box and i am willing to replace anything i need to thx

Hey VRA, I've been trying to get my hands on a V3 Spectre but they just never ever seem to be in stock. Are there any in gearbox alternatives out there? Ive been looking around for quite some time but havent happened across anything worth while.

There's the ASCU for v3 but my experience with those has been pretty mediocre at best.

valleyriverarms Yes Ive been reading to much the same conclusion on them. They seem to be burning out pretty often. I dont exactly have a choice however as the V3 Chimera has been out of stock for close to a solid year and havent heard from them about a restock yet. Oh the woes of running anything other than a M4.

I have the same motor/pistol grip, (g&p snake skin) and for some reason it feels like it is a lot bigger than any others and when the trigger is pulled, it sounds like the motor is shaking. I have wrapped electrical tape around the motor can to give it more width but the problem still persists. Is this normal or is the grip off spec?

i don't seem to have the problem that you're having. How loose is the motor with the tape on?

valleyriverarms every time I pull the trigger it sounds like it's shaking and feels like motor is rattling around in the grip. It's also visibly bigger when the motor plate is off

Motors should be a little loose in the grip to allow for smooth adjustment. If it's as big a difference as you're describing idk what could cause that. I don't think it would cause any catastrophic failures though

valleyriverarms after shooting for an hr or so I take out the motor to check the pinion and it seems fine. I just don't know why it rattles

Can you possibly make a video showing how to change a handgaurd on a standard m4/m16 to switch to a rail system please because im trying to mod my gun and cant find any videos showings how to do it and i sorta am new to Airsoft

that really depends on what you want to change it to... Assuming you have just a delta ring you can pull down on that and pull the handguards out and then replace that but it depends on the handguard you buy. If you're removing the handguard you need ar AR wrench to remove and then install depends on the rail you buy.
