Lots of great tips! One thing I would've added in the "Take Breaks" section is verbal communication - it doesn't have to be full-on "dirty talk", but I find quiet whispers in between kisses to be incredibly arousing, at times.

I really think one of the most important part in relationships, including sexual is communication. Get that feedback from your partner. Tips or no, ppl are all different. It should be normalised to ask - did you like that? Should we change it up? Is it okay for me to do X during Y, etc. After all, if you can do it, you should be able to talk about it. It should also be an equal exchange, so finding the compromise that both partners enjoy is important.
@OisinBuckleyAnimation
@OisinBuckleyAnimation 10 ай бұрын
No, it's not. It's this kind of attitude has lead to the psychological problems in we see in men today and why there are so many false accusations and fear in approaching the opposite sex. Consent ruins the moment entirely and creates awkwardness and anxiety in the exchange. And why are people still using the term "normalise"? why can't people do the world a favour and let the word die?
@alirak9261

@@OisinBuckleyAnimation consent ruins the moment? So you never ask for any? Got it. 🙄
@OisinBuckleyAnimation
@OisinBuckleyAnimation 10 ай бұрын
@@alirak9261 Yes, exactly - you don't. Kissing is a non verbal act, if someone is uncomfortable by a person's kiss they can easily let them know, and they're REALLY psychologically distressed by the idea of a kiss they should seriously seek psychological help before they ruin someone's life entirely. Just look around you at the current climate we're living in, just look up the trevor bauer situation and that'll sum up everything perfectly. I really hope this all phases out in our culture soon
@alirak9261
@alirak9261 10 ай бұрын
@@OisinBuckleyAnimation "they can easily let them know"...... I'm glad you have an astounding level of confidence and physical and emotional security, but a lot of ppl don't. Also, I'm not saying you have to ask every five seconds, but just generally checking in with your partner is a good thing. It also doesn't have to be clinical. Ever heard of flirting? Dirty talk? Clearly announcing your intention in an appropriate for the moment fashion can make a huge difference. And communication doesn't have to happen in the moment either. Before or after feedback is important. Would you rather ask one time if something is okay or have your partner silently accept whatever you're doing for your pleasure bc they don't want to disappoint you? And I'm not talking only about women here.
@OisinBuckleyAnimation
@OisinBuckleyAnimation 10 ай бұрын
@@alirak9261 you're missing my point, if someone has emotional insecurities it's not the other person's responsibility to accommodate that. That's this generation's problem, there's this pervasive attitude that it's the job of others to accommodate your issues (or else). If you're both thinking adults you need to act like it and be responsible for your emotions - whatever happened to this?? Secondly there are countries that implenting laws that if it's not entirely and "enthusiastically" consentual it's legally rape thanks to femenist groups, so maybe you're not saying you should ask every five seconds, but there are certainly people who do and it's a growing attitude

My husband and I have been married for over 31 years. We got together 39 years ago. That's lots of time to learn about kissing lol. Thing that I would say is don't over think it too much. If you are spending a lot of time thinking about technique rather than actually enjoying the kiss then maybe you are kissing the wrong person. That is not to say that we don't need to keep things fresh. We do. But while kissing enjoy it!

My phone gives me this just as I’m an anxious mess. I’m 25 and have never been kissed (never had a bf really) and I’ve been seeing someone now and they’re a little older than me. I’m such a nervous wreck because I haven’t gotten my bad kisses out of the way in my teen years. There’s so much pressure since the expectation by the 20’s to have more experience in that department. I’m a grown woman but I might as well be 14 in this department.

“Tiger Beat” was popular in the 1960s, too. It was sort of the rival to “16” magazine. It covered the Beatles and the Monkees back in my day as well as a lot of the other popular 60s groups. I looked forward to buying it every month.

“Fish” lips or lips that are too slack… or being too fast or slow… these aren’t things to fix (and I know you guys don’t think this way, but the format makes it hard to cover everything in one shot) bit to explore. These are issues of not meeting one another where you are and matching up. It’s easy dominate the situation and force someone to follow or to become the one who always accommodates their partner or feel like that’s what’s happening. But it’s like dancing - finding someone or being someone who can meet in an agreed upon place is the goal. And it’s also okay to say you don’t want to and decide to move on. And it’s also okay not to know what you like best in which case letting another person lead till you find out what that is is good too. Everything seems to be learnable in the realm of relationship and sexuality and it’s fascinating. Thanks for the supple and stimulating content 😊

I would add to not trap the person you are kissing. This sounds obvious, but I've experienced it with nearly every kissing partner I've had in my life. They pull you in with a hand on the back of the head or lean you against a wall, etc. and then kiss but there's not even an inch to pull away for a breath or anything. It always makes me feel anxious and trapped. I think the idea gets in a lot of men's (in my experience) heads that it's romantic or passionate or something when in reality, it ruins the whole experience.

Oh, and one more thing, specifically about the kissing video, is you only mentioned once about saying something to your partner. I used to think that it was weird to talk about things while kissing or having sex, but really it can heighten the experience because we respond erotically to each others' voices. Of course the tone should be soft and a little dreamy but it's ok to say things like "do you like it when ..." or "how would you like if I ..." or "Gimme some of that tongue." Let's not be shy.

I must admit most of the men I have kissed over the years haven't been very good kissers. lf I come across someone who I really like and feel a proper connection, I will tell them to follow my lead and kissing techniques. I am a very patient and an affectionate lover. My new boyfriend (bf) of two months tells me all the time how much he enjoys my kissing techniques. * He loves it when I run my tongue over his lips or inside his lips. * He enjoys when I lick his upper top lip or when I ran my tongue over his gums or teeth. * Or when I use my tongue to lick on the outside of his chin to his lower bottom lip.

I have my own few not wants 1. Bad breath- this is number 1 turn off for me. I only had two men that I had first kisses with. 1st was an ex-bf and 2nd is my husband. I had pretty much bad first kisses experiences. The first one, yes he gave me the most connecting electrifying 1st kiss experience but dang the bad breath was bad. That after that kiss, I wake up everyday and smell my breath and notice I got his bacterias for like weeks. Like no matter how I brush my teeth, chew gums or mint, it doesn’t go away. And the same when I had my first kisses with my husband. It gives me bodily sensations and there is connection but then it’s distracting. I’m a nurse, so I’m kind of germaphobic since I saw germs from microscopes and learn about them. It also explains why I’m OCD in cleanliness and why I can’t fully function well when the house is dirty and unkept. It is not irrational. It is scientifically based. Mouth is actually the dirtiest in our body. And no kidding! And I don’t want it when my husband just had mint or something to mask it. I want my husband to really kill what is causing it. So mouthwash is a go for me. Thankfully my husband do mouthwash. If he can’t kill the cause, I still love him anyway! 😅 I mean what is bad breath compared to marriage. 2. I don’t like it when there is no electrifying connection and bodily sensations when kissing. It’s like kissing a log or a lifeless matter. It’s awfully a turn down. I like it when we’re just kissing and doesn’t have to go there. 3. I don’t like being rushed also! I want to take things slow and really feel and enjoy. I like it when my husband is trying to explore my body and me if I’m feeling him or what. I like it when his full attention is there with me. 4. I don’t like staring or wrong eye contact. I like it when his eye contact is with me even while he’s checking if I’m enjoying things or what not but I also like it when he’s closing his eyes to really feel with emotions and use the mind in giving love and receiving love even in the very act. # I’m not claiming to be a good kisser. I don’t even know what’s the standard. I only use my experiences as the basis and as a stage for learning and improving.

My husband is a terrible kisser with a capital “T”….We’ve been married 35 years & at 60 I finally put my foot down & said ‘enough is enough’! I’ve got to show you how I like to be kissed before I go insane! 1) Don’t peck at me. Pursed lips are for a quick greeting in public for your mother-in-law’s cheeks on either side. Maybe not even touching her skin. A hello or goodbye in front of others you’re not familiar with. 2) Even if you’re settling into a kiss & relieving pent up energy or showing you’re comfortable with me & getting relaxed, do NOT initiate a kiss by exhaling deeply through your nose up my nose & hanging on me. My sinuses aren’t the release chamber for your respiratory pressure valve! 3) Wet, floppy fish lips are a big turn off. Not too hard (pecking). Not so soft (slobbering). Match my firmness & be assertive without engulfing me. 4) Don’t make me ‘hunt’ for your tongue in YOUR mouth. That’s just plain lazy. You’re the man & should be pursuing me, not the other way around. 5) A stiff pointy tongue is not something I want to engage with, especially when you’re holding it back in YOUR mouth. Meet me halfway here, dude! 5) Again, don’t hang on me. Hugging my shoulders is great, but how about holding my face in your palm(s), tipping my chin up with a finger to meet you, pushing my hair back away from my face or around my ears, caressing the back of my neck with your hand to draw me in? 6) Sealed with a kiss is not just for snail mail. Our lips should be in sync with each other’s. Fit together, not gapping and gaping. I’m going to start with these and go from there. I have been kissed unbelievable well by other men so I hope he catches on soon!

@@earthmamma85 What is it that makes his kissing so bad? Poor oral hygiene? Lack of enthusiasm or too much enthusiasm? Chapped or cracked lips? Facial hair getting in the way? Too much tongue? Not enough tongue? Are you getting along otherwise? Do you still find him attractive? Is kissing important to you? If the flame is dead, depending on how long this has been the case, then embers can be reignited. With my man I just straight out told him…Your lovemaking is great, the kissing part, not so much. I stated “Here’s the deal, as of today, you’re going to learn how to kiss me the way I want to be kissed.” And I just went step by step for at least 20 minutes a ‘lesson’. He’s proven to be a pretty good student, still a work in progress. I also loosened up a few of my boundaries that I thought of as too kinky/taboo as a reward. Something he wanted to try between the two of us that I wouldn’t have considered, With openness and honesty I found I trusted him more not to go too far and hurt me and found out I actually LOVE it!🫦

I'm old school. Also had great parents, who would not shy away to show affection all their life, also in front of us as children. Magazines? At 17 I was initiated by my 1st girlfriend from Southern France and we hit it off immediately. My fiancée/ later wife told me she loved how I kiss, especially with tongue. It has to be tender, playful and most important with love.

Take the scenic route, work your way to the lips after playing with air on the neck, ear lobes, hand in the hair, start slowly, and be respectful about the other person's space by not being too aggressive. Treat it like a warm up and time to appreciate your partner. And the way they kiss, with respect, shows you what is to come, hopefully building slowly.

Also, if your lips are dry and or breath smells, it is an indicator you aren’t drinking enough water and staying hydrated. Drink more water!!! Love tongue ;) Keep saliva swallowed at a good pace so it’s not too sloppy!

I suppose I learned about kissing by watching a lot of movies through childhood. I remember Tiger Beat from middle school, but it was when I was 18 right out of Navy boot camp when I had my first kiss. Before I ever lost my virginity, it was passionate kissing that I often fantasized about. My first kiss was made hotter by the introduction of ice cubes. Mostly, the experience was pretty slow and intense, so I was able to intuit what worked best for me.

Keeping eyes open... Question: what does it mean when a guy keeps his eyes open but isn't looking at you, he's looking around the room?? Makes me feel like he's thinking about something else. What the Heck is the psychology behind that?? Newly dating btw, 3 months in
@jeffayya
@jeffayya Жыл бұрын
I don’t think we should always find the psychology behind things. You prolly already know the answer he’s thinking about something else or not really present. Better yet, ask him. When I was a virgin I don’t know what I’m doing so my eyes are prolly wondering off or closed praying and asking God what to do😅

Hey when you open eyes smile and it will make it perfect , when you smile your muscles will show your pleasure , your enjoyment, you happiness & last but not least it will show a sign of you being preset in that moment of kissing. You’ll really amaze your partner if you’ll find the perfect time to give that smile. You can take a pause smile and then go back gently and slowly back to kissing👍🏻

I learned kissing techniques from COSMOgirl (yep, there was a teen cosmo!) magazine, my favorite teen magazine as a kid/teen, like starting age 11. I didn’t have my first kiss until age 17! And both men I’ve been in a relationship (first kiss guy and then next relationship at age 22, with like a 3 year gap between the 2 where i kissed no one!) commented on my being a great kisser after a couple make-out sessions. I was surprised! But I remember the tips it gave and used them to great effect. The best tongue tip I remember was to put the tip of your tongue 1/3 to 1/2 of the way in to your partner’s mouth and run it to one side, pull it back after a second, and then do it again on the other side, like imagining he has a mint in there and you’re doing little sweeps to find it. Thank you to every teen magazine i ever read! And the stories of the first time my sister encountered a really bad, sloppy kisser completely shocked me! He was such a nice guy and very cute, but she was so turned off by it that she said goodbye after just a couple dates.

My first kiss was by a guy that used that tongue sweeping method you mentioned and it was the worst experience ever. Ruined French kissing for me and I never want to be kissed that way again. Just the tip of the tongue is fine. Any further than that and I’m grossed out, remembering my ex’s method. The tongue sweeping motion was also just the grossest thing ever, I couldn’t even kiss back bc I didn’t know where his tongue was going and I couldn’t keep up. Ugh and he bragged he was a great kisser. Yeah no.
