Yeah I agree. Dude's sharp. But what's more amazing than that is how he can have the whole audience clapping in approval at what he says. I remember when he did his religion bit and the whole audience clapped and whistled and laughed. But statistically there's no way that among that many people a greater percentage of them weren't religious. It was people who went to see Carlin. They were probably less religious than the greater population. But still, this is America. They probably got home and wondered why the hell they would clap at that.

He was very down to earth and most gracious. I was required to collect his signature on the charge receipt, so that the cost could be billed to the room folio. GC is stupendous and it's all recorded. He's covered so much material and uncovered so many untruths that this can be watched 1,000 years from now and still be true. We don't need another comedian to follow him up, because he's covered all the material for ages and ages. Thanks GC.

@kentlarsen5834. George Carlin would rightfully object to your using the euphemistic, avoidance of reality, b.s. term "untruths" in place of the direct, straightforward, honest term "lies"!

He wasn't a prophet. He was a gifted observer. These things have existed for as long as humanity has. We can never take refuge in the past, nostalgia is what kills us, and the present is a terrible place to live. In order to change, we must use our imaginations, together, and take flight towards the future.

From Wikipedia: "In accordance with his wishes, [George Carlin's] body was cremated and his ashes were scattered in front of various New York City nightclubs and over Spofford Lake in New Hampshire, where he had attended summer camp as an adolescent. His will stated that there was to be no funeral, religious or otherwise, and that he wished only for his widow and daughter to host a small gathering at his home for loved ones to share their fun stories of him."
