Dr. Nun S. Amen Ra is a living testament to the power of intermittent fasting. He eats only one meal a day, eats no meat, yet has a warrior physique and is a world weight lifting champion. This inspirational video is so full of eye opening information about the vegan diet, maximum life extension, fasting, meditation, yoga, the dangers of glycation and how sugar ages the body. Eating less lengthens lifespan, where eating a lot shortens it. HGH human growth hormone is increased in the body when fasting. This is great inspiration for fat loss, healthy vegetarian diet, muscle building and how powerful the results can be when determination, focus, willpower and steadfastness can be attained. Amen-Ra eats beans, rice, grains, peanut butter and plant-based supplements and teas. For those interested in all natural drug-free bodybuilding, enjoy this super informative video!
There are several things you can do and things you need to know in order to promote life longevity. Fasting is healthy for you. You don’t have to animal products in order to have muscles. It’s important to eat healthy and exercise. Subjecting yourself to self imposed discipline is the surest way to increase the quality of your existence to you.
You will not waste away if you fast daily
www.medicalnews...
Studies of intermittent fasting show that not only do people see improvements in blood pressure and their cholesterol levels, but also in their insulin sensitivity.

Here are some of the the changes that occur in your body during fasting:
Insulin levels: Blood levels of insulin drop significantly, which facilitates fat burning
Human growth hormone: The blood levels of growth hormone may increase as much as 5-fold. Higher levels of this hormone facilitate fat burning and muscle gain, and have numerous other benefits.
Cellular repair: The body induces important cellular repair processes, such as removing waste material from cells.
Gene expression: There are beneficial changes in several genes and molecules related to longevity and protection against disease.
You don’t have to eat animal products in order to have muscles.

Many nutrition authorities, including the American Dietetic Association, believe protein needs can easily be met by consuming a variety of plant protein sources over an entire day. As a physician, the first time I came across this video I was quite sceptical about his philosophy. But, since I became vegan 5 years ago and implemented intermittent fasting and omad 2 years ago, combined with fasted cardio in the morning and resistance training in the evening, I can easily say that this man's philosophy is definitely working. Your energy levels will go up, your general well-being and health will improve and you will just become a better n healthier version of yourself.

If you observe this man, he speaks slow but also he is to the point, not needing more words to express himself. In Greece we have a word that describes that: "Laconism". This comes from the area "Laconia" where Spartans lived, because they would try to use the fewest words possible each time. This man isn't rushing to speak because his sentences are small any way. Amazing interview.

Maureen Gannaway + You’re right. When Mr. Rodger would talk slowly like this on TV he held the kids spell bound. Like Mr Rodger used to do, this man speaks in a calm, tranquil tone. Most people are just more accustomed to receiving information at a more rapid pace. Both ways are good and have their place. But in this context, his way of speaking is enlightening and thought provoking.

I have been on this regimen for 9 months now. My life has completely changed for the better. I lost 47 pounds, but gained muscle mass, more money (less food to buy), more time (less eating and running after food), more calmness (the nervous system is now fed properly) and more well being in general. I highly recommend reading his books on the subject. The Aliksir (the first part of your daily meal) is VERY important, there is enough information in this video to get you going but the information in his writings are more complete. I believe this is the future of nutrition. Thank you to Markus for sharing this important video and thank you Dr Amen Ra for his dedication to this research.

in formula 1 they will only feed the engine the required amount of fuel per second rather than dump it all in in one go. could it be that a gradual flow closer to the way we breath could have similar effects to fasting? Needless to say I am not convinced one meal is optimal. One meal might be better than three but arn't meals a result of agriculture and what is convenent for the fueling up of factory workers or slaves outside an environment containing fresh foods? the water intake with the teas is gradual but I have read about living water containing "cyanobacteria and blue-green algae" containing "bioavailable nanoparticles of the great abundance of elements" whereas teas I would think would be like dead water. living water is supposed to be the best food described on pg 53 of this pdf. makes sense that people wouldn't be drinking dead water in nature. it specifically says not to drink dead water if the air is polluted. If we were to suppose we had been deliberately fed false information then 'snacking' would be the ultimate crime but both the water and air intake are too obviously necessarily gradual. "The water must be chlorinated to make it safe or buy it in bottles from deep underground away from the harmful pollutants that will surely continue to be present in the air for ever and ever and ever. come and play with us danny". www.human-resonance.org/Akasha.pdf

@BrunoBaronet
@BrunoBaronet 7 жыл бұрын
I'm following Nun Amen Ra's recommendations. My Main and only meal of the day, consists of 3 parts: 1- The Amen Amino Aliksir (AAA) , 2- A fulfilling Vegan meal, 3- Some kind of dessert. 1- The AAA is a kind of "smoothy" made with Soy milk, Soy Protein Isolate, Brewers yeast, Spirulina, 12 different isolated amino acids, Psyllium, Pure Cocao powder, stevia and a multi vitamin/mineral. 2- A Vegan meal. I didn't use to be Vegan, but read the book "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell and you will understand the importance of laying off the animal protein. I try to incorporate pulses as much as possible (wiki: also know as legumes, well-known legumes include alfalfa, clover, peas, beans, chickpeas, lentils, lupin bean, mesquite, carob, soybeans, peanuts and tamarind) But I eat whatever Vegan food I feel like or have the time to prepare of have the ingredients for. Potato salad, Minestrone soup, Pizza, Pasta, Vegan burger, oven cooked french fries, Bean salad, avocados. Most of the nutrition is obtained in the AAA, The meal counts for nutrition of course but is mostly consumed for satiety, Feeling "full" at least once a day is important for your mind and well being. I love eating dinner now, it always tastes soooo good. When Nun says it is a feast every time he is not exaggerating. 3- A dessert. Usually a bunch of varied nuts, some dried fruits, dark chocolate, peanut butter on a nice piece of bread, or a piece of pie or whatever I feel like. When we bake a dessert we use a type of Stevia made for cooking, it replaces sugar cup for cup and makes baking a lot easier. I try to avoid white sugar like the plague. I consume all 3 parts within an hour. Sometimes I extend my feeding time a bit if I don't feel completely "full", I'll eat an extra fruit, or a handful of nuts, or a peanut butter toast. But I try to stay conscious of the amount of calories I ingest. The more I eat the more sleep I require. I know it might be frustrating not to be given the exact recipe of the AAA but reading and understanding why every component is consumed is very important. This is a life regimen and should not be taken on lightly. Knowledge is key. This is not a diet to lose weight. This is a lifestyle with the aims of prolonging life and improving health to the maximum with the support of known science. In 2 weeks it will be 1 year since I started this lifestyle change. I'm still learning and incorporating new habits all the time.

BatiYah Yisrael I don't know if you're trolling or not. Immanuel kant is basically THE philosopher of the 18th century and the time of enlightenment. He is german, but his books are almost certainly translated as he is famous as one could be. It's one lines out of many from his works and you can smply google it, although ofc as I said he wrote it in german. The translation though should turn out exactly as this sentence. Give it a try for yourself. If you're interested, I'll tell you that he was into the philosophy of morals, he observed birds and how their parents fed them, which made him think of it as an almost intelligent instinct, which he tried to converse into a moral code that could work as the same for humans. Highly interesting.

So I gave myself a refresher on cellular biology then came and watched this video again. So death comes from 2 factors. Apoptosis and Hayflick Limit. Apoptosis is the self destruction of cells. This occurs for a number of reasons, what's mainly listed is the prevention of diseases, damaged cells, and cellular population control. The Hayflick Limit comes from the shortening of telomeres at the ends of dna strands each time a cell divides through mitosis. The telomere length of a cell gets smaller with each split, and eventually reaches a point where it becomes too small. Any further replications would have disastrous effects and so the cell no longer divides. So when you reach a certain age all of your cells stop dividing and they all die off and then you die. There is a study saying that a human can't live past 120 years of age due to the combination of Hayflick Limit and Apoptosis. Not to say I believe that the 120 year limit can't be broken. Just stating the current knowledge out there for you. Inside a cell you have essentially 4 groups of compounds which are formed from molecules. Sugars, Amino Acids, Fatty Acids, and Nucleic Acids. Sugars and fatty acids are used for energy. Amino acids turn into proteins which are the building blocks for everything within the cell. They're also chemical enzymes used for virtually every cellular function. Nucleic Acids have some energy storage capability, and are mainly used to keep track of the genetic code of the organism. Your body gets the atoms/molecules it needs to create these things from food, air, and water. Most are found naturally, and the stuff needed to build nucleic acids are developed synthetically within the cells through chemical reactions. Ok, had to give you a summary of that stuff in order to explain what goes on here with him. He eats 1 meal a day that consists of 3 parts, and fasts for 23 hours. The first part of his meal is his amino acid nutrient elixir. This Elixer provides his amino acids + other molecules needed for the body to be healthy. But it lacks the sugars and fatty acids which is the energy source for all of the cellular processes. The second part of his meal the, beans and roots and shit, do add fatty acids. Then his dessert has sugars in the royal jelly and bread in the form of carbs and sugars. He limits the caloric intake of the meal so he is actually giving his body less energy than it needs to perform it's processes, but plenty of amino acids. He then makes this up with the fasting which essentially eats away older cells and converts them into energy. So he recycles his own cells for his sugar, and fatty acid requirements. This recycling of cells targets the most inefficient and oldest cells in his body. Which I assume includes the ones with the shortest telomeres. He has a surplus of amino acids and his body only uses enough cells for the energy that it needs. So he builds muscle when he repairs his muscle fibers from the workout, and he gains no fat. Now, his lifestyle of lifting weights, stress free, and meditation is the key to all of this anti aging. These activities for some as of yet unmentioned reason actually help sustain telomere lengths in cells after mitosis. Certain weight training regiments show little to no shortening, while others actually cause more shortening. Only one cell type experiences telomere shortening due to weight lifting. The muscle satellite cells experience shortening because of a combination of the rapid mitosis required for extreme weightlifting regiments, and the over stressing of your nervous system. Also known as "over-training". Which has other side effects such as fatigue. So his body recycles the cells with the most damage and possibly the shortest telomere lengths. He also slows down his metobolism, and lengthens his haflick limit. Thus he possess a younger body in general compared to a person of corresponding age. That's really cool. Now if we figure out a way to activate telomerase (the only thing known the lengthen and replace telomeres) without any negative consequences we can stop aging all together, and we won't need to become ascetics! Edits: I fixed a few annoying spelling mistakes and corrected a statement I made about the shortening of telomeres and exercise.
@kendrickbowman3416
@kendrickbowman3416 8 жыл бұрын
oh and a big thing he mentioned also was the niacin. This creates more mitochondria withing the body which are the batteries of the body. With age the mitochondria levels go down, but by increasing the amount in your body you give yourself the energy levels of a body that is much younger than the one you possess.

This comment should have been the script in Markus' summary, thanks for sharing it all in a scientific nutshell! Bringing the telomeres into conversation made me think of the entrepreneurs in the Netflix film The Immortals x) They did not talk about regiment specifics other than conventional resistance training. Do you perhaps know the difference between the regiments that sustain telomere length & ones that detract it? Also you mentioned the cell recycling as a balance to the telomere shortening from training. Is this because it is more efficient to recycle cells and cause less biochemical functions to happen in the body (as opposed to him consuming more, causing more internal activities, increased pace of cell division, more metabolic and bowel exertion, etc.)?

Thanks for the responses guys. That's an interesting question in regards to telomere length and weight training exercises. Only one cell type experiences telomere shortening due to weight lifting. So it's not that a particular exercise causes the shortening. I misspoke in my earlier message. It was pretty late when I typed that, and it has a ton of spelling errors in it haha. Anyway, the muscle satellite cells experience shortening because of a combination of the rapid mitosis required for extreme weightlifting regiments, and the over stressing of your nervous system. Also known as "over-training". Which has other side effects such as fatigue. Weightlifting is great, just don't overdo it. On your second question. No, I was referring to the fact that since his body does not have efficient calories to function properly it has to use his other cells as an energy source. In the video he referred to it as his body breaking down his protein for sugars/energy. He then went on to describe how the body selectively chooses the most ineffective cells first. But to your point it is more efficient to recycle extra cells than to ingest food. One reason is because you're body isn't taking in extra unnecessary energy which gets stored in fat cells. You also avoid a lot of the toxins in food. He also mentioned a ton of other cool benefits in the video. I'm sure less use of the digestive system itself has other benefits as well. All of the chemical functions produce waste products within the body so minimizing that.

There was a dr who cured patients of AIDS, cancer, diabetes, blindness & many other, so to say "incurable" diseases just by switching out their diet to natural electric foods, or so to say alkaline foods. Search for "Dr Sebi electric food" here on youtube if you'd like to learn what the medicine & meat industry doesn't want you to know. Sadly he died last year, may he rest in peace.

I started to eat one vegan meal a day 2 months ago, after many years of vegan diet, fasting, meditation, emotional cleaning and many holistic healing practices. My body just naturally asked for this way of lifestyle and it works really great for me. I feel healthier and younger than ever, my skin is glowing, body relaxed, mind calm and full of light ❤ I do 1 to 2 hours of meditation, yoga and forest hiking daily. Lot of connection with nature. My meal is usually around 11, I start with fruit smoothie + lot of wild herbs straight from the ground, than I eat oatmeal with some grains, nuts, veggies and spices. Also dessert as homemade dark chocolate, dried fruits etc… It is really possible to find our way to be amazingly healthy! When I was starting to change my diet 8/9 years ago I would never expect that I will land in Here… I was obese, toxinated, full of inflamations, bulimic, insuline resistant, emotionally destroyed, overstressed, ubhappy, I really hared myself.. addicted from shit food, alcohol and drugs… Now I look back at myself and Im so thankfull that I gave to myself a chance and believe at my own power to change my life. Its all about our self belief, trust in the natural potential of out bodies coming back to balance, Divinity and full power of being human ☀️ This way of living need come from deep Love to ourself to take care of our precious beings and go through a lot of discomfort first. We need to learn grown up love that holds us straight and focused on long term goals not only fast and easy pleasures. But as someone who has gone through this path I can assure you - Its TOTALLY WORH IT, YOU DESERVE IT, YOU CAN DO IT ❤ Sending much Love to everyone who are on their path to blisfulness and for the ones wo are just jumping in 🙏🏻🍀

I was recently diagnosed with a fatty liver. I was also overweight, and also had high blood pressure. I did the one meal a day diet for a month and my liver is now back to normal, I have lost over a stone in weight (13.5 stones to 12.1 stones), and my blood pressure is now back to a healthy reading. I also feel a lot better with more energy. I have a treadmill at home and can run for longer and I am not out of breath at the end. I am also saving money and watch what I eat. I make what I eat count. The first week was hard as my body adjusted to not having regular meals, but after a week I didn't feel hungry. I drank a lot of water throughout the day. This worked for me but may not work for everyone and may also be dangerous. Get some medical advice before giving it a try. I BELIEVE THE ONE MEAL A DAY DIET IS THE ANSWER TO AN OVERWEIGHT SOCIETY AND A LOT OF THE PROBLEMS THAT COME WITH IT.

December of 2017, I spent the holidays alone at home, off from work. I walked to pick up Chinese food on Christmas day, it was pretty much the only restaurant open that day. About a foot of snow on the streets of Quincy, Massachusetts. At some point during the last days of the year of 2017 I encountered this video and immediately clicked on it because of the title. I was totally skeptic. I watched this video an it absolutely changed my paradigm on nutrition and exercise. I began doing intermittent fasting right there and then. Now it's 2023, it's been over 5 years, and I cannot imagine eating 3 times (or more) a day, as I used to. No way! This video, plus Thomas DeLauer's videos, will always have a special place in my life. I'm just sharing my experience here. If you're on the fence with this, just go for it, you won't regret it. Either OMAD (one meal a day) or whatever time-frame of intermittent fasting you can start off with. It's a game changer.

I've done fasting for years and years. The negative feelings from fasting disappears after doing it for a long time. It's one thing to know yourself you will not die, it takes a while for the body to know that. I pretty much do one meal a day at the moment but still in need of upping it to this level and even add my own methods in the mix. Meditation is such a key essential to bring health way above anything you could achieve otherwise. Meditation take a vastly longer time until you begin to be doing it properly... higher states take time to become part of the mind and body. Then you can never be doing it properly because there is no celling with it, but I would say there is a level to reach before it's taking you way above a level of health you could achieve otherwise. You be given tastes of these states all the way up till then... it's when you can fall into high states right away that you have reached the floor. I've had a dream of spending a year in the Wu Dang mountains to do martial arts and Qigong for a year while doing the 1 year on complete no frap. I've done 6 months before, but without being full focus on training and meditation. I generally stick to a 2 week threshold now, because shortly after this it has an adverse effect, but a year is good 1 time will doing nothing but meditation, Qigong and training. Love watching this channel now, not stumbled upon it before... always loved your camera channel 😍

I am vegan. I always had the problem, to eat enough to get enough calories - and that looked kinda stupid... as I eat sooo much in volume, that people were actually scared of me xD and I still stayed slim. (eating healthy only). - and they all wondered, how I managed that xD (for example 500 g starches, uncooked - and with water it is much more... with one meal xD - that is kinda a lot, if you know, how fat (brown) rice gets, when you cook it xD) And I did this 2 times a day (so I got between 2500 - 3000 calories). But I really felt like, I was overeating, to get the needed calories (while I did eat very similar like he talks about, but came to it myself, also through good scientific medical studies (there are also garbage ones). After I heard this interview I tried it out a bit. I even trained less before, when I did not eat too much, because I feared to loose muscles and so on. But now, sometimes I eat really not much, but I train and I gain muscles. And that is quite contra intuitive. But for me, this works. But I hear what my body says. If I carve some food - I just eat it (still mostly healthy). But the amazing thing is, when I did not overeat and got much less calories (approx 1500 mostly) and I trained, within 3 month people recognized, that my body changed... and they asked me, how I did that xD (gained muscle mass - I was slim athletic before ) (I do not weight lift though, I just do martial arts training for myself again - repeating it everyday. That is also enough for my body to build some muscles, recognizable for others). So yes, somehow it works. But I won't hunger myself. If I am hungry I eat. If I am not, I do not eat - and it is okay for me. Mostly 1 or 2 meals a day is what I need.(1 bigger meal, or 2 smaller ones)
