Yeah I’ve found too with well water since we can customize the ph of our water shampoo and arguably even the vinegar rinses are just not so important. I'm about 2 weeks in and my hair is already softer and falling out less with less of the roots of the hair coming out. Although I do have a lot of byproduct and just random chunks of oil and things in my hair though as well as my hair looking less shiny and more grey-ish (not the actual hair color but effect of oil on the hair). I'm so glad to have find this video because I was going to quit on it in fear that I might damage my hair. I'm a black male with 4c hair so when I found out that the black natural community was doing a lot with oils and creams and conditioners with all of them doing different things and routines, I got frustrated and went to try this out. You can clarify with distilled water if you have hard water. It removes all the mineral build up to leave you hair soft and your sebum thin/smooth. I use a spray bottle or one of those mister spray bottles once I turn the shower head off. Works brilliantly for me, have been doing it for 3 or 4 years. Though I originally went No Poo...6 years ago. I've gone through different methods, and have found a few that I like a lot.

I got curly hair and I've been doing no poo for a month now. My hair has never looked this great before, it's so shiny and soft and it feels really light without all the products I thought I needed. I was afraid of starting this because I know how curly hair can be a pain to take care sometimes, but once I got the hang of it everything was totally fine. Since I'm only washing with water (haven't been using vinegar) and haven't found any curly hair product totally water soluble, I've starting using aloe vera to style my hair (as a type of hair gel that doesn't form a cast) and I must say that is working very well for me (and it doesn't leave the aloe vera smell after it's dry). So, for the curly girls out there: I, as a curly girl myself, approve of this no poo only water method

You can rinse your hair with water and massage your scalp. Water will wash away sweat and chlorine just fine. “Soap” products like shampoo break down oil and kill germs but aren’t necessary to rinse away chemicals. But there’s other ways to get rid of excess oil like she said in the vid. Shampoo bars are by the way still shampoo, meaning they can contain a lot of stuff you neither want in your hair nor rinse down the drain and making it end up in the environment again. I really, really recommend hair soap instead! Depending on where you live and how hard the water is, you will have to do an apple vinegar/water OR lemon juice/water rinse once a week to remove limescale, and you need to create a looooot of foam by adding more water than you have to with shampoo - but it's great! :) If anyone lives in the UK, I recommend those people: www.read-the-label.co.uk/

Maybe try to go in the shower and wash your hair with water, scrub/massage your scalp with your fingers for a few minutes(make sure to use cold water at the end so the follicles dont stay up you'll lose more hair). Also keep brushing your hair to distribute the oils to the bottom, try the apple cider vinegar too. Hopefully this can help, good luck!!!

@@thesslaniki2501 bentonite clay like the Aztec mask? I heard that was good for getting rid of stuff at your scalp. Hope it works well!

So I wanted to try this since I’m in quarantaine anyways, but my hair is still super greasy and I have not washed it in 48 days now 😂. So yeah, might just switch back to shampoo again.

@Lioness 4 Christ It's not really working for me. In the end I gave in and washed my hair with a little shampoo (after 3 months I think...). The good news is it stayed well for about 5 days, where it was previously about 2 or 3 days... But it pretty quickly became greasy again. Since we're currently in a second lockdown I'm trying again, but I'm really not sure this is ever gonna work for me....
