This is true but misleading. He eats two meals a day by skipping lunch.

The science of fasting and caloric restriction mechanism is changing to be protein and fat restriction. The high carbohydrate low protein low fat is the most important aspect and caloric restriction only to the degree that one is stocky strong. Being emaciated is only beneficial if you are eating the high protein diet as a percent of calories. The diet should be a whole foods plant based diet built around starchy staples, vegetables, fruit, no oil, no meat, no dairy. Under such a diet, the benefits arise from being trim but not very thin as that will actually cause harm if eating the proper diet. The bottom line is that it is the diet that is the primary factor and the old simplistic pure caloric restriction models are being discarded.
