Dr. Barnard is the reason I went whole food plant based a few months ago. Since then, I’m down 20 lbs, have tons of energy, and still losing every day and feeling amazing. My depression and anxiety have improved markedly, and I’m never hungry or counting calories. Of all the doctors, he’s my favorite bc of his kindness in the delivery of his message. I never considered this way of eating when hearing the fanatics rage about why everyone is stupid for not being vegan. It took this man’s common sense approach to make me change, and it’s changed my life. Thanks Doc!

stimmt so nicht ganz der kakao in edelbitterschokolade ist erhitzt und wird mit milchprodukten versetzt so sind sowieso schon sehr viele gute stoffe zerstört und werden in der aufnahme gehemmt... wenn man die volle wirkung möchte muss bzw sollte man einfach rohe ungeröstete fermentierte kakaobohnen essen dann spürt man erst die richtige kraft/wirkung die in ihnen steckt...

I think that plant based nutrition is probably heathier than animal based if a person get enough B12 vitamin, but is it really scientific to imply that if more plants grow with more CO2 in the atmosphere, as NASA says, then it will be more difficult to feed the population of the earth? There is also the other factor that plants can have their pores open for a shorter time if there is more CO2 and then shrink the desserts of the world. I think Dr. Walter Willett may know more about diet, and I think he is certainly better to give health advice than many internet diet Gurus

In Mexico ist die gruene Sosse sehr beliebt . Gruene Tomate,Zwiebel , Chile,Knoblauch,Fett usw.gut verkocht.Keiner kotzt.

Ist es wegen der Oxalsäure? Ich dachte eher junge und grüne Tomaten sind das Problem. Allgemein enthalten sie weniger als andere Gemüse.

Also, that meal list is a joke. He can't be serious. Pancakes, veggie hot dogs, bagel with jam? Those are the just more of the standard American diet of processed, man-made garbage that will spike your glucose and cause a massive insulin response. Don't be fooled, you will eventually get metabolically sick eating ultra processed food PRODUCTS. Just because you avoid meat doesn't make you metabolically healthy

I know this is now 7 years old... But it is laughable to target saturated fat as the villain. Numerous studies have now cleared saturated fats and recognize they're actually neutral fats. Just like his chart about meat eaters vs vegan BMI... Just association. It says nothing about how much they exercise or anything about each group. Could be that non vegetarians just aren't as obsessively working on a healthier lifestyle. Neal's info is just looking at associations, pretty poor if you're looking for causative factors

My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

Dr. Willett, My Uncle Guido wrote a heart disease book and credited you directly for keeping himself alive for an extra 25 years he might not have otherwise had. He believed that we can have a tiny something not-so-healthy once in a while (Not Daily!), as long as we mostly follow your plan. My only question has to do with regular meat, like chicken and salmon. I realize that plant protein is the newest "meat, " but is chicken and turkey still okay?

I did an experiment Wich was on weight lost medication it calls zinical what this medication do it lower the amount of fat that I put in my mouth up to 30% for just 21 days I start dropping weight I haven't give up on my fat food and sugary yummys then I came out why should I keep going with medication while I can just cut off my fat in take and keep my carb high at least I put it in test and came what Dr Bernard was saying works for me then I think vegan diet it been made for me somehow 😅😅😅😅😃😅😃😃

Ich bin Ernährungswissenschaftlerin und arbeite in der Pharmaindustrie. Wir produzieren alles Mögliche, von Bürofaktoren bis ALA.. Die Umsätze sind enorme gestiegen vor allem in der Stadtteilen, wo so viele Alternativen leben undsich trendy ernähren. Wir verkaufen viel Vit B12, Magnesium, B- Vitamine etc. Wenn die vegetarische Ernährung so gesund wäre wie sie behaupten,warum kaufen unsere Nahrungsergänzungsmitteln. Gesunder ist die veg. Ernährung nicht. Ich finde es sehr problematisch bei Kindern.
