Change the oil every 5k to 7k max full synthetic. Don't idle for hours and it will pay for itself.

My 2004 ram 5.7 is at 240 thousand miles on original engine and transmission still my daily driver everything works and runs great..preeagle hemis are very reliable and great..I dont know about the new ones but the past 8 years ive owned my truck have been awesome..Best truck ive owned..My issues have always been electrical..Truck has never left me stranded!!

Depending of how you look after the engine just like any car it will last I've got 2 hemi engines a 5.7L Hemi an a 6.1L hemi both are very reliable with proper service

I get 17.5 city and 21 hiway in my 2017 Bighorn with 97,000 miles. I also shut off the MDS with the shift buttons on the steering wheel every time I put it in drive to save the cam/lifters.

I'm at 230k miles, 2006 hemi. I put marvel mystery oil, sea foam, and gum out in it whenever I have extra $. Every 100k miles I do I liquid molly clean of all the systems as well as a radiator, trans, and power steering flush.

My 2012 1500 has only had issues with the manifold bolts- mechanic told me Ram opted for poor quality, cheap bolts and two had sheared off. Paid around $500 and had them replace all of the bolts. Other than that I have had no issues in 12 yrs/145k mi. Great truck (2012).

The tick is because the oil pump is not big enough. It's only 14 mm need to increase the oil pump volume. Long-lived THE HEMI IS KING. 😊 😊 😊 😊

Got a 2009 Dodge Charger 280000 miles and developed a tick.Just prior to the issue i'm having now, p0302, 1414, 1417 code. I'm hoping it's something simple, such as a lifter And MDF system But I have a feeling it might be The lifter and cam. I've sent the oil in to have it analyzed in 3 weeks From now, the car goes into the shop to get toward down to see what the actual problem is.

I rebuild these for a living were the only shop to do around the northern alabama area. These new "hemi"s r not hemis. They are a generic ls1. They don't have hemi heads or pistons. They have flat top pistons with regular heads. It's just a 350 chevy motor made modern that dodge stole.

My 04 Ram is at 335,000kms on it's second engine, unfortunately the first one only lasted 150,000. The body is damn near 500,000kms and 20 years old and yes the box is absolutely rusted to shit 😂😂
