I'm so tired of rich people who lecture us about rich people. So tired of people who benefitted from capitalism lecture us about how bad capitalism is. Tired of Rich people lectureing us about the environment when they have private jets, yachts, and like 10 cars. These people are so disconnected from reality.

Hypocrisy is dripping from the writers' room ( and producers/ actors/ directors) on this show. Mindy claimed she identified with the Velma character. Then they wrote her as a narcissistic, sexist, classist, ageist, @sshole with a victim complex. She said that they loved the characters and show of Scooby Do as a whole. Then they twisted and distorted every character into unrecognizably horrible people. They are the worst of a horrible lot making millions in Hollywood off of other people's work and creativity.

Yeah, that would be like Disney telling us capitalism is bad in their movies, but that would never happen, right? Hollywood are truly out of touch, I think they consider themselves artists and that people shouldn't hate artists, we should only hate people who get rich with good business decisions and who sells a product people actually want to buy. But in Mindy's case, she is a Karen. Of course she will complains about everything, even other people who are just like her.

What makes is worse is other modern entertainment absolutely glorifies other religions and traditions. Marvel’s Echo series is about (alleged) Native American traditions and religious expressions. It’s the basis for Echo’s powers in the series! The whole point is girl power that is rooted in religion, yet Velma is probably aiming for the same audience. This is a snippet of the meta-ironic, self-deprecating humor these types of people employ. Velma's using it here because she's in a spot where it's hard to defend her position. I reckon this is something the watchers of the show, who have the same beliefs as her, would also do when they are struggling to justify their stances. Can't explain it? Jokingly point out your own wrongness. If someone persists in calling you wrong? Double down, get aggressive, etc. No intellectual honesty here.
