my biggest criticism of those “hot tub streams” is that twitch pushes those girls but doesn’t promote other female streamers, they only pay attention to women on that platform if they’re half-naked. no hate to the hot tub girls, they’re getting easy money, just wish woman could be successful on the internet for something other than their bodies. don’t hate the players, just the game.

To person that struggles to find friends - i would suggest finding yourself a community based on what you like for example D&D, alternative fashion, coffee making etc. People don't even realizes there are communities of people until they get interested in the topic, i found a lot of friends just because i got into Japanese fashion and i had no idea community is so massive and spread all over country. If you get really interested in something you will eventually meet people who likes the same thing either by just walking on a street, searching social media or going on a convention (post covid ofc). I'm friends with people i met through hobbies and interests i no longer have, don't limit yourself to just a college and your peers.

Legit all you gotta do is get there early or walk in once like half the class is seated, look around for someone w a t-shirt or binder or some shit you enjoy, and sit next to them and start talking about whatever it is. "Whos your fav character/song/etc" for example. Ask questions about them, ppl love talking about themselves. Foolproof system, hasnt failed me yet.

the only thing that bothers me about the hot tub streams is that they’re v obviously s**ualized and get posted to the home page while there’s tons of kids on the site, i think there should be a system in place to keep kids from seeing that but that’s twitch’s fault not the streamers
@colemcgowan60833 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Kurtis kinda strawmanned it. People are mad at twitch and not the streamers for being sexual.
@mysunshine4923 жыл бұрын
its very much the streamer's fault too lol. twitch doesn't enforce their rules but people shouldn't also be trying to find loopholes (as kurtis himself said) in order to do softcore porn on a non-porn website. that's adult women we're talking about, they know exactly what they're doing and as a female streamer, that kind of bullshit becomes what people expect of me and others to do too. this is not female empowerment, it's hurting everyone that doesnt follow suit, when no one should be doing that as twitch is not the place for it.

I don't get this trend for overly categorizing people. I mean yeah it's funny and all but like... weird how people are obsessed with nametagging anything they don't like or find kinda old fashioned. also just like the Karen meme for some people it's just a new way to hate women

karen was originally created by black women for black women to talk about their specific experiences with white women. it wasn’t meant for non black people to use, and now even white men are using it 😭 white men don’t have any right to use it lmao, it shows how much it’s been removed from it’s original meaning
