can we talk about kurtis’ rant on the double standard on women confidently posting their bodies and pictures of their bodies getting leaked to the public without their consent. it’s fucking gross, and im glad kurtis brought attention to that

In his most recent video, near the end, he said that he was young, but then the older version watched him. And in some of his earlier videos, he had a dollar shave club sponsor who I believe sells lotion. So I believe he puts that on after each video to make himself look younger, However, it only lasts a few hours before wearing off. ITS ALL COMING FULL CIRCLE

my biggest criticism of those “hot tub streams” is that twitch pushes those girls but doesn’t promote other female streamers, they only pay attention to women on that platform if they’re half-naked. no hate to the hot tub girls, they’re getting easy money, just wish woman could be successful on the internet for something other than their bodies. don’t hate the players, just the game.

hate to admit this here but ive watched 3 seasons of masked singer. not because i enjoy the show, but because my grandparents like the show and i watched a few episodes with them because i had nothing else to do but now they thinks i like the show more than i do and so now they record the show every Wednesday and i watch it with them because i don’t want to tell them that i don’t like the show because they do. so anyways, im gonna go watch the masked singer with my grandparents because it’s 8:00.

and thirst trap content isn't even new nor is monetizing thirst trap content new. From only fans, Instagram , and now twitch. it's nothing new . To person that struggles to find friends - i would suggest finding yourself a community based on what you like for example D&D, alternative fashion, coffee making etc. People don't even realizes there are communities of people until they get interested in the topic, i found a lot of friends just because i got into Japanese fashion and i had no idea community is so massive and spread all over country. If you get really interested in something you will eventually meet people who likes the same thing either by just walking on a street, searching social media or going on a convention (post covid ofc). I'm friends with people i met through hobbies and interests i no longer have, don't limit yourself to just a college and your peers.

Also as a content creator, I feel like he should be more worried about why those creators are talented/smart/strategic enough to get viewers, while he can't. If he's so good at streaming he should just be able to innovate, right?

do you not understand that twitch is not a porn website? they don't have any protection for their sex workers unlike porn websites. I mean for fuck sake they don't even require you to be 18 to do it?? people aren't mad at the people who are doing hot tubs streams they are mad at TWITCH for being fucking lazy about their platform and letting this bs happen. xqc saw the just chatting category and called twitch pathetic, not a specific creator. It's not always about misogyny, the real world isn't black and white.

Tip for first advice brobrah, so Kurt boy didn't cover what to do if you're older than the usual age (by more than a year or so) and starting community college, like I'm 28 and had to start at 27 cause of some chronic illnesses. Legit all you gotta do is get there early or walk in once like half the class is seated, look around for someone w a t-shirt or binder or some shit you enjoy, and sit next to them and start talking about whatever it is. "Whos your fav character/song/etc" for example. Ask questions about them, ppl love talking about themselves. Foolproof system, hasnt failed me yet.

the only thing that bothers me about the hot tub streams is that they’re v obviously s**ualized and get posted to the home page while there’s tons of kids on the site, i think there should be a system in place to keep kids from seeing that but that’s twitch’s fault not the streamers

its very much the streamer's fault too lol. twitch doesn't enforce their rules but people shouldn't also be trying to find loopholes (as kurtis himself said) in order to do softcore porn on a non-porn website. that's adult women we're talking about, they know exactly what they're doing and as a female streamer, that kind of bullshit becomes what people expect of me and others to do too. this is not female empowerment, it's hurting everyone that doesnt follow suit, when no one should be doing that as twitch is not the place for it.
