Melee, SF6, and Strive have pools matches analyzed in this casual, yet intelligent way done quite frequently. This is kind of the baseline for comms outside of Ultimate.

@@traycarrot Being a top player doesn't mean you know how to commentate, or even speak coherently in the middle of a presentation. It's an entirely different experience and it's constantly taken lightly. Tweek is good at both. Many top players can't speak clearly for more than a few seconds on a microphone, while many commentators can't perform at the level that they know the game.

@@traycarrot you’re saying this as a goof on me, but yes. It being the baseline for top players doesn’t make it not impressive. For part of the commentary he wasn’t even talking about the game, he was joking and laughing. Yet he was still able to defer to specific sets of inputs for specifics sets of situations that were chosen within the match. I’m not impressed by his ability to know the game, I’m impressed by the ability to retain that same capability while multitasking, which a majority of people have difficulty with.

@@TwitchVO Interesting. Save the obvious language barriers, I've found lots of pros able to commentate at this level (at least in Melee and SF6). It's awesome to have top players on, though, so they can explain what TK and Charles can't.

Chunky’s neutral was just not super hot this set. He very much wanted a few specific things and instead of adapting based off riddles’ playstyle he hoped he would eventually just hit him so he could push advantage state, which was good when it landed but with how he kept throwing out hitboxes regardless of riddles’ di, hitstun, or drift made it feel incredibly mashy sometimes

I think Riddles not switching to Kazuya proves he wasn’t joking when he thinks DK is even against Kazuya on any legal stage besides FD. Even when he was down 2 in a row he stuck with the Terry, hopefully it shows that just because DK is easy to combo doesn’t make DK Kazuya +2 (like some people say) for Kazuya
