Vibe | BTO Bachman-Turner Overdrive | You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet | REACTION VIDEO
Time to vibe and Rock out to Bachman-Turner Overdrive and the jam “You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet”. This is classic rock at it’s best. This track straight rides! The lyrics alone with make you jump in yo’ ride and pump your car speakers til the bust! This band has stood the test of time and killed the 70’s I have so much respect for music like this!
"You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" is a song by Canadian rock band Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) the song was written by Randy Bachman for the band's third studio album Not Fragile (1974). It was released as a single in 1974 with an instrumental track "Free Wheelin'" as the B-side. It reached the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and the Canadian RPM chart the week of November 9, 1974, as well as earning the band their only major hit single in the United Kingdom, peaking at number 2 on the UK Singles Chart. The follow-up single, "Roll on Down the Highway", was also a minor UK hit.
Bachman-Turner Overdrive, often abbreviated as BTO, were a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, founded by Randy Bachman, Robbie Bachman and Fred Turner in 1973. Their 1970s catalogue included five Top 40 albums and six US Top 40 singles (eleven in Canada). BTO has five certified Gold albums and one certified Platinum album in the US; in Canada, they have six certified Platinum albums and one certified Gold album. The band has sold nearly 30 million albums worldwide, and has fans affectionately known as "gearheads" (derived from the band's gear-shaped logo). Many of their songs, including "Let It Ride", "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", "Takin' Care of Business", "Hey You", and "Roll on Down the Highway", still receive regular play on classic-rock stations.
The Juke Box is Awarding the BANGER status for "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" in the Pulse 880 Radio Lineup.

This song was actually written as a joke. Randy Bachman pulled a prank on his brother who is a stutterer and look what it became. A number one hit in 22 countries. A true classic and evergreen.

Randy Bachman is a home town boy, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This song was never intended to be recorded! Randy wrote it to tease his brother Garry who had a bad stutter, he told him it would be on their next album! They used it as a warm up song in the studio. The album they were working on was short one song……their manager suggested they use this one, minus the stutter. It didn’ t sound as good. So they put it back in and the song became a huge hit!

Randy Bachman formed BTO after leaving Guess Who (after which Burton Cummings also left) and both Randy and Burton had great solo careers - they still perform together on occasion - they do a great jazz/blues version of their Guess Who hit American Woman

I learned from an interview with Randy Bachman years and years ago that he wanted BTO to be a rhythm based rock band. But I didn't know until very recently that they were sharing a dressing room with the Doobie Brothers in New Orleans during Mardi Gras in the first half of the 1970s when he worked out some of "Let It Ride" and the Doobies then based "Long Train Running" on his guitar noodlings as he ironed it out. That is astonishing and good to know because the Doobies are one of my all time favourite bands! Randy said in that interview eons ago, back in the 1970s IIRC, that he wanted a band that was rhythmically similar to CCR and the Doobies. Killer rhythm was the thing back in the 1970s and is much too absent from today's music. And BTO has so many excellent lead guitar solos! 😉🎸👌 That "70s sound of guitar" comes from there not being many guitar pedals to alter the sound of the guitar at the time. So if you were going to be an excellent guitarist you had to have "touch" in your fingers. There are plenty of good guitar players around today but also way too many that bury the actual tone of their guitars underneath a ton of effects pedals. The really good guitar players around today will tell you to develop your own signature "sound" with your guitar before drifting off into "guitar pedal-land" and obscurity because you just sound like some over processed thing that no one can get next to in their heart and mind. The lead guitarist in this song was Blair Thornton from Vancouver. 🎸🎸🎸
