So in some specific Victoria 2 cultures like Texan, I have seen a modifier which says "radicalism = 10" What does that do, and are there other modifiers that can be applied to specific cultures?

It's probably a modifier on nationalist rebels for this specific culture. The Defines.lua file has a value called "MOVEMENT_RADICALISM_NATIONALISM_FACTOR" which I assume is this.

Great tutorial. I had one issue, however. I made a sub group called Occitan which falls under the french grouping. When I made the localization file and tested everything I noticed that it worked but it also renamed the french culture to occitan aswell. Any ideas on how I can fix it? I followed your tutorial step by step except I didn't make a whole new group such as germanic for example

How do I change faction name in hoi4

go in the history/countries and then copy the file of the nation that leads the faction then paste it in history/countries folder then open it and find the entry for the faction and change the name from there
