One of Austria's classical dishes - overwhelming delicious and easy to make! Process cabbage directly after harvest and in a way you've most likely never done it before.
Ever tried to caramelize cabbage? You definitively should do so! In this video I show you how you can cook "Krautfleckerl" simple and easy your own.
Just slice a head of cabbage (about 1 kilogram) into small pieces.
Then heat up 10 tablespoons of sunflower oil and caramelize 100 grams of table sugar in it.
Add 200 grams of onions, let them fry for few seconds and att the "kraut".
Add 20m lililiters of soup and let it steam for about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile cook half a kilogram of noodles - preferrably "Fleckerl" but any noodle variety which is small enough will do.
Mix noodles with caramelized "kraut", season with salt and pepper.
