The MK25 is a tough engine. A few original parts such as, silencer, are still missing.

Excellent nice little machine, . Enjoying the quality of engines build during the 60 and 70 of the previous century, nice work, I like the people who spend a great deal of time and money to keep theses old machines working. , quite something different then the plastic engines built today. Rating 5 stars , WW.

Thank you. The MK20 and MK25 are very nice engines to work on. Mainly because cylinder block and ignition part can be removed separately.

Thank you. There is also a part 2 on You Tube. In this part the engine is further finished and drives a dynamo.

Just acquired one of these myself so will be doing pretty much the same thing. No idea what to use it for afterwards. Might make myself an hydraulic log splitter.

Thank you for your response. The MK25 has now been given a new color blue. I don't have a real destination either. Depends on the pulley I can get.

What else can you use a stationary engine for nowadays 🤔

Hi, do all villier motors run on unleaded fuel, and where can I purchase ignition parts from, cheers.

Hi, where can I buy ignition parts from please.

I'm getting no spark and the flywheel is sized on. Iv tried to get a bit of sandpaper in to clean the contacts. It's been sitting 20 years and was sized but I got it freed up and feels smooth to turn over by hand.

Hi, most likely the ignition coil is defective. Maybe too weak. New ignitioncols are still available. You can power anything with a stationary engine. Among others: alternators, water pumps, air compressor etc. See also Villiers MK25 with brand new parts Part 2, with 12 volt alternator

@@dunbar837 Apologies if I am teaching you to suck eggs here - do you know how a Villiers flywheel pulls off? It's on a taper, the centre nut loosens for a turn or two, then tightens again - at that point you welt your spanner with a mallet (Villiers used to sell flogging spanners for just this job), and the flywheel should pull off the taper. Conversely, when you put it back, it needs to be *really* tight or it slips and you are left with no idea why it won't run (guess how I know?). Don't use a puller - it'll just mash the thread. Your videos look UK - google L&S Engineering, Villiers parts and Villiers spares for ignition bits. Hope that helps!

That looks a lot like the previous video you uploaded. Did you change anything?
@keesbeekmans92754 жыл бұрын
Nothing has changed in the video. Only the accompanying text under my name has been changed. I'm thinking about what I'm going to hang on the engine. Such an engine must have something to work.
