I have heard him saying many times that he trust his ears to know the difference when he sings from one type of music to the other. He is the most versatile artist that allows him to explore all music to bring the element of a real country music. He repeatedly says that has been his focus all along to make sure that country music would sustain the real goodness of it.

brian setzer does a great version of this tune....i like Gill's version here as well. Gill follows that Knopfler creed,,,surround yourself with great musicians and the music will make itself. john hobbs and i think hes got knopflers bass player, glen worf too....wow! anyone know where this was recorded?
