I am so happy that I went back to rewatch this video because the ‘Vines demise’ segment and the ladder anology you used quite literally changed my perspective on life. For some context, Hi! My name is Max, and I’ve been watching your content for years, along with Danny Gonzales and Kurtis Conner. You three specifically were such a core memory in my childhood as I remember you were my first introduction to commentary/comedy. I will always remember when was around 11 years old and I signed myself up for my first “junior stand-up” course where at the end, we were given a chance to preform our story in front of a live audience. I decided to fill my routine with similar mini-sketches to the ones that I had seen in your videos, and I still remember to this day the excitement and creativity I felt being able to tell my story in such a unique way. I’m 17 now, and Adulthood is fast approaching. While It’s been fun getting to experiment in different lines of work for the past few years, (mainly jumping around from retail to retail) the thought that I still don’t have any idea of what career I’m going to _have_ to pursue in the near future to be able to sustain myself, scares me. And that thought has been silently haunting me in the back of my mind for this past year - I didn’t want to be dreading my future this much, I know that the freedom and responsibility of adulthood is one of the biggest milestones someone can reach, and that I should be enjoying this time while I have it. Even with that in mind, for some reason the unknown of where my life will take me has plagued my thoughts with a sense of dread for this coming year. Thoughts such as: Who am I? Who have I been? Who will I be satisfied to become when the world calls for me to become another cog in the system, Another worker behind a desk. Another artist turned machine, for the prosperity of the “American dream.” Who will all my friends become, will they take more kindly to the working world so that their biggest fear in a couple years is the size of their mansion? Will my fear of making “the wrong decision” and ending up stuck living a life that I hate, prevent me from doing anything with my life at all? What will my family think of who I become? But anyways, enough about me and my dumb moral dilemas - the main reason I felt inspired to write what could be considered a mini-essay of text at this point, was due to your ladder analogy from 14:09 - 15:15. The way you broke down what has been one of my biggest fears for months so casually and indirectly reassured me that all of these side jobs I’ve experienced have been necessary to figuring out what my eventual career will be?? Insane man. I don’t think you could ever know how important that semi-monologue was to me apart from all the other bits in this video. I remember seeing this video in my feed years back and making a mental note to eventually come back to it, and I’m so so thankful that I did- especially now more then ever. I’ve done a lot of thinking and I’ve come to the realization that I don’t care where I end up or what I end up doing; as long as I am somewhere close to my friends and family. And I’ve also realized, that it’s okay if that changes! What could be seen as my current goal now, doesn’t mean I’m stuck living by that forever, and I can appreciate my past without letting it define who I am or who I’m going to be. No matter what roads I take, knowing that one of them _will_ work ahead is a great piece of mind that makes this whole growing up thing a little less scary, Thanks Drew! If anyone was crazy enough to stick it through and read this whole thing on a video that’s 6 years old at the time of writing this 😵‍💫, thank you so much for listening to my ramblings and I wish you the best. 🙏❤️

@@RamenNamen991 how is musically in any way related to vine? the entirety of musically was just people lip synching songs or lipsyncing jokes. there was literally no originality on the app. tik tok is a lot closer to vine and also a lot more original. there's some short and quotable jokes from there (not as many as vine but it's a lot newer than vine) a lot of text-based humour, a lot of trends and a lot humour based around song lyrics. i guess tik tok is like a spiritual successor to vine but it's pretty refreshing in it's own way.
