The really shocking part to me about Stretch Panic is that the soundtrack is great, especially for an early Ps2 game. The Japanese manual has also got this really intricate manual with lots of custom art in a hand drawn style (although I think the English published version removed all that custom art and went with a more generic screenshot approach. From what I understand of Poinie's Poin so far... Poinie wants to see a movie about space pirates, so he finds a giant superstar chasing Lilin into the sewer, and Lilin bestows upon him the power of poin, thanks to Eric Quackman. He can now hold the poin, throw the poin, combine the poin, and change the emotional state of living things around him. Eventually, the superstar, Lolo, corrupts poor Lilin with her nyah-nyah teasing and evil, toxic poins, which turn her into a bite-me creature. Also, these hip-thrusting creatures called Hell-Neows.
@yellows111 Жыл бұрын
The best part about the Hell-Neows thrusting their hips is that they're meant to be holding toxic poins themselves, as in the next scene (when they run into Lilin to toxify her), but an issue with the Totally Real-No-Fake PS2 makes it so the first time a toxic poin is meant to render held by one, it renders as nothing (Expect if the same toxic poin is reused in the cutscene, see the same scene as before). The glowing effect of the toxic poins makes the Hell-Neows' body language make more sense (as they're meant to be holding something) if they do get rendered. This effect only exists in the cutscenes, in-game they render normally.

The cover art and design in Stretch Panic (not including the massive honkondonkaroos) looks pretty solid. According to Wikipedia there's a plot about a bunch of demons possessing the main characters sisters and the last one is in her, and you have to try to exorcise the bosses to save the sisters. No idea why there's booba enemies, though
@JacobKinsley2 жыл бұрын
i think the main theme of the game is vanity

the giant boob entities are supposed to be girls that got cursed by the same demons that came for the sister (because they were uncomfortable with their bodies and were thus given a grotesque exaggeration of feminine beauty, because that's the kind of thing demons do. The whole game is kind of supposed to contain commentary about body image issues in teen girls, I think, even it's never made explicit)

Apparently Stretch Panic tells the tale of Linda, the youngest of 13 girls, and the only nice one in a family of snobby brats. One day, they send Linda to slave away and deliver stuff for them, then they get taken to Hell and the demons reward Linda with a magic scarf-hand-thingy. As for what happened to them? I think they turned into boob-monsters or something.

25:39 By law, it is required all fish graphics be at least 3 console generations ahead of their time. So by today's standard, it needs to have at least 12 million polygons, 40k resolution textures, and 3,000 FPS animations. Each of it's blood cells need to be individually modeled too, even know you literally never see it up close, or at all for that matter. 1:03:02 For Vinny censoring the thrusting dogbeargoblins on the fly. 1:24:17 WHY IS THERE A SPEED LIMIT SIGN EVERY 15 FEET?!- Oh, it's just Nanobreaker. 1:32:21 I haven't laughed that hard in a long time... at 1 AM, and also my hypersonic hyena cackle also shattered a window, thanks Vinny.

Accurate regarding the fish game, but I believe that’s also partly because of how unnecessarily hard every dev went on water graphics during this generation

I refuse to believe that these games were made with human involvement, they were plucked from an extra dimensional entity's private selection.
