Vintage Willy's CJ: Part 9 - The Waiting Game! Ian Roussel Finishes The Bumper And Jamie Dreams ✨
Full Custom Ian Roussel and his wife Jamie are determined to get this Vintage CJ 2a Willy's Jeep on the road and SOON! We are having some issues with getting parts for the transmission, but we decided to work on other things so that when the Jeep can actually run, we can just go with it! Ian custom car builder is taking a break from his Full Custom Garage VW and getting ready to off road in yet another creation.
We appreciate everyone that has taken the time to support Roussel's Custom Fabrication. New content on Sunday!

@@fullcustomIan I've always held that if someone wants to see a factory original, ground-up restoration, seek out a good museum. Unless it's an extremely unique, one-of-a-kind, rare example - go ahead and make it what ever you like! Have fun! Take the road less traveled and express yourself. Life is short - enjoy the adventure. I love y'alls videos! You compliment one another! Keep it going!!

Real world project building!! I am all in!! Spent a day arguing with a fuel cell fill through a wood bed in a 37 chevy and new metal to support the floor. It's the hundreds of hours of little stuff that makes a difference in making it going or trailering it for showing!! Great video!! Thank you!!!❤❤

Jamies comment about the Black Widow, behind the toilet made me smile, a little. One of our, now departed, C & W singers, Slim Dusty, was bitten by a Red Back spider in a country outdoor toilet. The red back is Australias widow spider. The song is called, funny enough, "the Redback on the Toilet Seat". It will give you a smile if you get it up on youtube.

Your Jeep brings back great memories my grandfather had one can't remember the year. They lived in Centerville Missouri on a hill overlooking the Black River as long as I can remember we used to go down on weekends and Run That Thing Up and Down the River it was a blast. I can remember camping trip on the current river right by Blue Springs I just turned 16 years old and he let me drive the Jeep over to the Gravel Bar where we primitive Camp right on the river Grandparents Jeep and cabin are all gone but the memories will last forever. Love your videos thanks for allowing me to share Peace Love Ace out

Just wanted to let the two of you know i just finished watching the 9 Jeep CJ2A episodes. I had watched them previously but they were out of order and I had to search for them! Only found the first 8 that time. Then i found the 9 videos together. I found them most enjoyable. It's fun watching the two of you interact and get so much done. I'm in agreement with all you've done with one exception. I think bigger tires add to the appearance of the finished product. I'm not talking gigantic. Just bigger. In my view it provides a good, appropriate foundation. Keep up your excellent work. I want to see the finished product. I wait with baited breath to see the color Jamie has in mind! ❤❤

Back in 1991-92 I saw a ufo flying over the San Pablo bay about 10pm then it shot over the Golden gate bridge hooverd over the bridge then shot back over the San Pablo bay. I had to wake my mother to see what I was looking at. She told me to go to bed. I kept looking at it for a little while then went in the house. The very next day a few of my friends came over telling me they saw a ufo flying over the San Pablo bay. That they had drove to the wrecking yards to flash the headlights of the car at it. I didn't tell them that I saw the same thing until I heard there accounts of it first. Then Monday morning radio show reported it's official that a UFO was spotted over the Golden gate bridge. I was glade that other's seen it. It was over the Golden gate bridge so I knew people had to have seen what I was seeing. I thought I was losing my mind at first. Never seen anything like it ever since and I do look up at the sky at night.

I really enjoy watching the videos. You can feel the vibe that they are real and show how much time and effort plus mistakes that it takes to build. One of the things I cant stand is some of the other supposed "reality" build shows. They bring in a complete wreck of a project and try to get the viewer to believe they can actually have it ready for a major auction in three weeks.

Hi Ian and Jamie...Jamie your jeep project takes me back , we always had jeeps back in my high school days ! Fairly simple , reliable , parts were still fairly cheap and accessible. Ian , I don't know if this helps , but when I had to do a T 90 cluster gear replacement , I discovered International Scout used the same T 90. So clusters were the same in both. That cluster gear ( as I remember was full of needle bearings. We had to grease them up an insert a dowel of the same diameter. Then dropped it in the trans. case , and drive the shaft threw while driving the dowel out the other side. Shaft ran past the inside of case which held it in position. Don't know if that information helps , but thought I'd pass along. Thank You both for the videos , so much enjoyed !!

Hi there Ian. Another fantastic video from you and I’m really glad that you rounded off the edges on that front bumper. With all those sharp corners, I think nothing screamed get out of my way or you will become impaled on my bumper like that did before you rounded everything off. LOL. Black widow spiders aren’t that bad. The trick is not to freak out because they can sense it. If you just hold your hand out and allow them to come to you then you will be fine. I come from a country with plenty of black widow spiders. I am really surprised that you are finding it hard to get parts for the Jeep, especially in America because in the UK, there is actually a jeep place where you can actually go in and buy every single thing to actually build an entire Willys Jeep. From the ground up and we didn’t make them. They are originally an American company that made them. That’s weird. Anyways, thank you so much for another great video and I look forward to the next one. Please take care of yourselves and blessings to both of you from the UK.
