I have a bachelor in criminal justice and I taught lifeskills to children as a behavioral health case manager for 3 months as well as did child advocacy for a year. Would I qualify?

Do you recommend I have a decorated classroom and background and props before I apply? or is it not necessary until after you get hired?

You do get points for those items so yes! Especially the props for the lesson you teach! :)

I'm currently waiting for my background check to process. How long should I expect to wait for this before I am able to open my schedule? I'm not sure if this is just a Canadian requirement of it is expected of all hired candidates

That has recently changed so I'm not sure. If you have access to open slots you can go ahead. if not, you can put in a ticket and ask.

I would love to do this. I have everything that is required except the bachelors degree. Have been teaching at an alternative school for years. Also have taught and helped young adults prepare for their GED, and do tutoring at my local library. Is there any place for me with VIPKID??

Me too. I don't have the Bachelor's degree but do have an Associate's degree. Let me know how it goes - if you need a Bachelor's, or not.

A BA is not required apparently, check out their website for official criteria.
