Lots of them still think Bruce is the greatest ma star that has ever lived while disregarding many others. Like I said, not trying to take away from Bruce Lee's accomplishments (without him there probably wouldn't be Jackie Chan, for starters) , but I'm sad that often means people like Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Donnie Yen etc get totally looked over, while in my opinion their accomplishments in movies are far greater. And yes, in real life fights many of them would not last very long. But that's also what MJW was saying. Being good at one, does not make you good at the other.

You know literally nothing, the temple was burned down 100 years ago, not 400, even if is burned down 400 years ago, it was nowhere close to the Knights of the Round Table. Shaolin monks are present through nearly all periods of Chinese history, the temple was sacked MULTIPLE times, and always managed to recover, sure, art, writings and sculptures were always lost, but the teachings were never lost, after the cultural revolution, members and masters survived, and rebuilt the temple to the condition it is in today. The temple was NOT a replica, calling it a replica is like calling the White House a replica, or calling Notre Dame a replica. Rebuilt does not mean it is destroyed, things can be fixed. It is so bloody easy to search these things up, but you know literally nothing about Shaolin monks, if you want to learn about them, how about you reach out to actual members of the temple to get their inside opinion instead of leaping to your own, ridiculous conclusions. It's much more complicated than that. The Shaolin Monks existed for years, and have had their temples (northern and southern) ransacked and destroyed by various entities, including the Chinese communists during the Cultural Revolution. The monks that fled went to Hong Kong, and had subsequently opened up cultural centers and martial arts schools in order to survive. When there was interested in the Shaolin Temple, SOME returned, but with the stipulation that they would submit themselves completely to the Chinese government, effectively reducing the temple into a tourist trap. But to say that the Shaoiin Monks are "fake" is an oversimplification of the fall of the Shaolin. After all, one can still learn Shaolin Kung Fu and practice the religion TODAY...and outside of China.

Let's be real what MJW is saying about Jackie Chan is 100% true. I can't think of anyone who came even close to his skill level as far as creating and performing those crazy choreographed fight scenes. Especially his older films he's in a league of his own.

@@Monkforilla Yea I agree of course he's not fighting that wasn't really the point I was making. I was going off of what Michael Jai White was talking about comparing Chackie Chan with Bruce Lee/Jet Lee as far as the greatest Martial Art movie stars. I love all these guys especially Bruce but still Jackie Chan's movies are by far the most jaw dropping, entertaining to watch. His stunts to this day still hold up they're incredible.
@serafeimstefanou5877 Жыл бұрын
Chackie chan admitted himself that Bruce Lee was the best even from him and his speed was unmatched. He was hit you and you couldn't see nothing to block that was his words . And I don't thing he had a reason to lie. Neither Jim Kelly neither Joe Lewis neither Mike Stone neither Inosanto, neither Bustilo. You want more who admired Bruce Lee? I think they were enough and it s all on KZbin ... I can't understand why so many people deminise discredit and downplay a legend like him while the most champions of his era respected him and admired him as greatest

@@serafeimstefanou5877 This is the second comment that's arguing against something I am not saying. Are you guys even reading my comments? I said I love Bruce Lee. Nobody doubts Bruce Lee's skill and speed or the impact he made. Bruce Lee is an icon who's impact transcends Martial Arts but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about who's the best Martial Artist I'm not talking about who made better movies. I'm saying Jackie Chan has the best choreographed fight scenes in cinema period!
