I once had a Thanksgiving turkey slide across the kitchen floor when I dropped it! Picked the sucker up, wiped him off, plopped him on the plate and hoped he didn't have gravel, grit and dog hair on his belly!! I smiled all the way through this today! I find I have to stay up late so I'm really tired and after about 20 minutes of reading can fall asleep. I move pretty slow in the mornings, though, and I do feel better if I get ready early. I also have cut out most news and I wrote some letters to friends this week, which I really enjoyed. I am lucky to live on the edge of town and there's a bald eagle nest I have watched for several years along the river. Mama is sitting on the nest again...don't think we have babies yet but it won't be too long. ( Our spring is pretty late, even though it was beautiful today. It's still pretty unsettled. ) It is so relaxing to sit in my car and just watch her doing her amazing thing. I'd sure give you the scissors to take care of my hair...it is getting pretty shaggy!! That is the first place I am going when things open back up!! Take care everyone!

I've only found you about 2 months ago (December 2020) and I have watched a lot of your videos but there is so much more to watch. Epic fail - I boiled eggs on the stovetop in a glass pot and forgot about them...I heard a loud crash and ran into the kitchen to see the pot shattered and there were pieces of egg all over the kitchen!! :) ;)

I’ve been lucky in that I still go to work. Not been stuck at home. Here in Scotland the TV adverts all day long are funeral policy adverts, and life insurance adverts. I would be in a deep depression had I been stuck at home with these adverts day in, day out. I love that you find things to do that keeps the TV off, and keeps you sane. Your home is lovely and a credit to you.

My son made flapjack to impress a girl in his year. As he was lifting the greasy dish into the oven, one handed, whilst simultaneously trying to take a photo of it on his mobile for Snapchat, he dropped the dish and it landed face down on the kitchen floor. So he did what any 15yr old boy would do, and scooped the greasy heap back into the dish and baked it. The fluffy, hairy flapjack was a big hit, but he had to endure weeks of us singing “my flapjack brings all the girls to the yard...” 😂

I loved this vlog....... I've never laughed so much at the baking fail. My ex husband tried to bake a potato in the microwave and it burst into flames. My now husband didn't have much luck in the kitchen either. He was making toast in the toaster and it didn't pop up.....needless to say that burst into flames as well!! My grandma was doing a Christmas pud in the microwave and cooked it in there for 30 minutes....It came out and she asked my mum for a fork, then a knife. The pud slid off the plate, landed on a tiled floor and broke the floor tiles....

My 'failure' was not a baking 'failure', but a baking related 'accident'. I was using an electric whisk to make cake batter. After I added the eggs, I found that the batter was quite yellow. I thought that maybe my the eggs might have been off, or something. So I bent my head forward towards the batter, to smell it. But I bent my head a bit to far and close to the whisks. With the result of my hair ending up stuck in the whisks. I didn't manage to get the whisks out of the machine, for some reason. And this is how my sister found me: screaming and an electric whisk stuck to my head (I held it up with my hand). Now I can laugh about it😅. But back then I was a bit scared that it would have damaged a wound I had from an earoperation a week before. So, the leasson learned is never to bent forward while using an electric whisk😂

You always bring a smile to my face....😊. It’s nice to see you have green grass...we still have loads and loads of snow here in my area of Newfoundland. More has been forecasted for this week....☹️. Guess on the better side if it, it may keep people home and staying inside if the weather is bad. I have been doing more baking and making a lot of home cooked meal, these past weeks then I have done in a very long while. Not that I haven’t cooked or baked, but the convenience of either buying baked goods or having a take out even now again was becoming a normal thing for us all. It’s bringing us back to the basics and I count my blessing ever day. The worst part of this is I can only see my girls, on FaceTime or video chat. We had a virtual tea party a few Saturdays ago. I am doing that at least once a month so we can all be together while staying apart. They are all on their own and have their husbands to help them get through this time. Plus we are first time grand parents 😊 and we see him during our FaceTime chats. It’s not ideal but we will get to see him soon....I hope. All my best is sent to you and all of your followers, keep safe, stay home as much as possible and we will come out of this stronger and more resilient. 🤗❤️🇨🇦.

Ages ago I grew up in an eastern town of Maine a stone's throw from the ocean. Needless to say we ate tons of fish and not much meat. When I got married my first Sunday meal was going to be a roast. I got a rather small piece of beef. Just the right size for two. I baked it all night. The house smelt great. I pulled out from the oven a "Rock". We ended up eating the veggies which I knew exactly how to cook. Love your shares, always enjoy seeing the cats. Take care.

I did a lot of baking when I was ten and eleven with a friend - her mother would sometimes just leave us be in the kitchen, and we made lots of mistakes (accidentally adding twice the butter, for one). i remember quite a few times when we'd have to run around her house swinging towels because something started burning and we wanted to clear away the smoke before her mother found out.
