Dear lord the last time I watched this I was 12 almost 13. And now I'm 22 almost 23 in the middle of a global pandemic. I used to work for a university that shall remain unnamed that has a famous bust of Lincoln on campus. Our project acquired the acronym ABE, as a result and there were numerous items made in the shape of or depicting the bust of Lincoln's head. One of these was a stress squeezy shaped like Lincoln featuring the quote "If you are going through hell, keep going" -- Winston Churchill. Immediately I found this suspect so being an internet geek I looked it up and Churchill never said it. What's better is this misquotation features prominently on a facsimile of a bust of one of the most misquoted people on the modern internet. It's a fake quote on a copy of a copy of the head of a man famous for fake quotes. AND it's an advertisement for a project that is wholly part of an institution of higher learning. But it improperly cites its sources on a campaign to raise money to further its educational aims. I've come to acquire many things in my life, but that cheap piece of flotsam from a job I no longer hold is one of my favorites. It's truly a beautiful thing.

I've just recently found out about this community after going through "The Fault in Our Stars". It's great to know not all hope in society is lost, that there are still people who think logically despite others such as the commenter mentioned. I would also like to say you are incredible writer with an incredible vocabulary. Your writing is quite thought provoking and I must say I am surprised. Dear John/Mr Green, Yes, I know that this is an "old" video which you will probably not remember making ( sorry if I have misjudged your memory's capacity), but I love this video! However, I do have a single sliver of negative feedback regarding your statement that "people who make their lives public will be misquoted, and, if they don't like that, they should make their lives private." I do understand that a lot of people will misquote someone famous through the constant transport of true and false information across the Internet. However, that doesn't mean that misquotation should force someone to not be able to make their lives private. I think that, rather than prohibit the flourishing of creativity, wisdom, & knowledge, we the people of Nerdfighteria (& all kind, caring Internet groups) ought to enforce rightful & proper quotation. This was my first experience with the press: I had written the book, music, and lyrics for a full-length musical which was produced at a local dinner theater. The town’s main newspaper interviewed me in anticipation of the event. During the course of the interview, it came out that I had done the musical thing while going to college full time and also working. The interviewer asked me how I found time to do it all. I replied, “I stay up late and drink a lot OF COFFEE.” What the newspaper printed was, “I stay up late and drink a lot.” What happened to the “of coffee??” Entire meaning changed! OH MY GOD IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS. How has it been two years already??? Life is astoundingly fast the older you get... I remember the excitement over Henry like it was just a couple months ago.
