@@nurseathomeasmr I have a hot tub too. Every hot tub is different and has different maintenance requirements. Mostly depends on what kind of chemicals your tub is set up to use. My advice is to find an owners manual for the type you have and start there. Also I’ve found the employees at my local hot tub/pool supply store are very helpful. Good luck!

Tip: drink coffee then take the 20 minute nap. Caffeine kicks in during nap and you wake up feeling more rested and energetic.

As some people have said, for low light homes, the zz plant that you showed after the palm and the mother-in-law’s tongue are great low light plants. Pothos as well as any philodendrons are forgiving in low light as well. I love my calatheas and monsters as well :) loved the house plant tour!

I think it's called MIL tongue is because it looks like a sharp blade. As in, a MIL has a sharp tongue. The dieffenbachia (dumb cane) can cause your mouth to swell if ingested. Hope this helps!

I truly mean this in the most complimentary way possible.. Tyler is younger than me, yet Tyler is also quite possibly my grandfather. 😂 The sourdough starter, the bird feeder filling, the explanation of the drapery rod repair.. the indoor plants.. I can’t 🤣. I lost my Papa 15 years ago, but every day during vlogmas Tyler gives me all those vibes again. I LOVE watching these videos. Also, watching Gigi grow up is so heartwarming and it also is making my heart ache, as my baby girl is almost 18 and a Senior now! ❤️

Sansevieria can tolerate pretty low light levels but it looks like all your plants are suffering. My horticulture teacher used to call it, “a silent scream” LOL. The soil may also have a salt build up which is causing the tips to brown. Place pots in the sink and run water through for several minutes to help leach out the salts. Don’t water again until the soil is nearly dry. Stick your finger way down in the soil to test for moisture. Number one killer of house plants is over watering. Lightly feed once in awhile and just replace them as the old ones croak. Hard to grow house plants where you live. But kudos for trying.

The formal name for the mother in laws tongue is a Sansaveria. It can live in low light but does better in bright direct light. Also most plants absorb the nutrients from dying leaves.
