Thank you for the "speech" you gave at the beginning. I think it's important to remember that moms and dads (and any caregivers) can love their children to the ends of the earth, but at the end of the day, they're still just people. People need help and time away to do other things or even just relax sometimes, and that's ok.

He should not wait for the company to give him a refund because companies like this often try to drag consumers along until it is too late to file a complaint with your bank/credit company.

We have five kids, including toddler twins. I had to change my expectations for laundry. (I have diagnosed OCD, so this is challenging.) I now have canvas cubes in all of our closets for pants, shorts, loungewear, pajamas, underwear, socks, sweaters, workout clothes, swimwear, etc. I only hang dresses and shirts that wrinkle. I don’t fold anything in the bins. So I just take the basket of clean clothes straight to the closet and sort everything out in less than five minutes. Game. Changer.

For laundry, what has helped me the most is just doing one load a day. It’s so much easier and less daunting and folding one load is no big deal compared to laundry from an entire week. I have a husband and two babies and this works so well for us.

I already had a work-from-home job before COVID and when it hit, our 8 year old has been doing virtual schooling since March. And, my husbandhas been super scared so we've had no help at all. It's been a such a challenge for me being able to work full-time and be a full-time mom at the same time, even though she is older. I have realized that I liked having that break when she was out of the house that allowed me to focus on what I needed to. I decided to send her back in person not only for myself but for her too, and I hope it's the right decision.

I used to hate the laundry hell that the weekends bring on. A very wise person gave me a piece of advice that I know use and it makes things so much easier for me and my family of 4. I now do 1 load each day through the week. A load of towels, or a load of darks, whatever... one load each day from Mon thru Friday. Less of a mountain to fold each day. And that makes it so much easier for what’s left to deal with on the weekend. Try it Jess, it makes a world of difference

A couple of eco friendly thoughts... we gave up sponges and use scratchy cloths we bought on Amazon. With cleaning them in the dishwasher, a 4 pack has lasted all year. You can print your own binder covers at home and support artists too. I print mine on card stock. No need for shipping or waiting.

Hey Jess! We use a free version of Plex to host movies and tv shows we own on DVD/Blu-ray. You just download the server app and install on a computer that is connected to your network. To convert the dvds and Blu-rays to a digital format use MKVmaker (app), then use Handbreak (app) to convert the MKV file into an MP4 file. There will be a file for each episode or movie you convert. Then configure your plex server to look for movies and shows in whatever folders you’ve saved the MP4 files in. At that point, any device in your network should be able to watch your movies/shows thru Plex. It’s a lot of work but it’s worth it to have everything in one place and accessible.

Unfortunately, my grandparents were too old when I was born to watch me and my brother whose 6yrs older, so my parents who both were in law enforcement and had to drive an hour to work and back (they worked for the Ca. DoJ, and so the hours were mostly reliable, and my mom was always able to coach my teams and be a girl scout leader, etc...)... BUT since i was a newborn we had live-in nannies... You get so attached that they become family... esp. the longer they are with you... We had the same non-live in nanny/housekeeper from when I was 5 until we sold my childhood hold during the housing crisis/great recession when I was 21, Its been 12yrs since Ive seen here and I still think about her and her family and how she's doing... I miss her so much, she was like a 2nd mom, closer than an Aunt or any other non-immediate family member... While I think its amazing if family can care for your kids, and thats probably the most ideal, I think people who live in todays world scared of alot of things because due to ease of access to information, it makes the world seems scarier and not as safe, but give some thought to a Nanny, I'd even suggest one from another country, preferably bilingual, its easiest for your kids to soak up another language while theyre little.. and a Nanny whose here going to college and needs a job, and perhaps even lodging? If theyre a live in, it might end up being less expensive than day care.... Every kid can use as many mama bears looking over them as possible =)

My son just turned 1 on 12/27 and boy your right about how your life changes in such a great way but also " you don't know what you don't know" lol. I can 100% absolutely relate to the post pardum depression and anxiety and I felt like I could just do it all and can work through everything with no help from anyone with my son. After alot of struggle I had to let go and asked for help back in October and my life had done 360. Again thanks for sharing and for being so authentic here on youtube 💕. I had five in this household at one point and you have to do a load per day. I’ve never saved everything and did it all on a weekend, for example. If you do one load per day you can keep up. Trust me. Also I do it all start to finish if you add others in the mix doing their own laundry it typically gets left behind or in the way anyway so I just do it wash dry fold put away. 😊

I seriously considered buying bananagrams when we were out Christmas shopping. All because of you. 😂 And, girl, I work part-time from home and I don’t know what I’d do if my in-laws didn’t take my daughter once a week. I love her, but it’s HARD to concentrate on anything when she’s with me. Especially when she was between 1 and 2. Even now, when I haven’t been working like normal, her grandparents still take her (and now our newborn, too) once a week. That need for a break to be a person is real and intense. I’m always so thankful for the village I have; my heart breaks for those that don’t have a support system.

I'm laughing over the laundry. I have six in our fam. I do four loads of kid/baby a week, and about five of ours. I put one or two loads in a day, and I fold them at night while my big kids get ready for bed. It's a lot, but I do try to stay on top of it every day.

I'm waiting on a load of laundry to finish right now. It's only me and my husband and how we go through so much is crazy. LOL

You were wondering about a don't yesterday. You can Google "what the font" and you can upload a picture of the font and it will try to identify it for you.

A show that I can rewatch over and over is Midsomer Murders, especially the first episode (I’ve probably watched it 10 times now) and I only really discovered the show in the two years

If y’all haven’t watched Ted Lasso on Apple TV you HAVE TO. You would love it. It’s so wholesome and funny and great.

I think your voice when speaking with Pinocchio should be a new voice for a Disney character! 🐶

Our cordless dyson is having the same issue! I’m looking forward to ripping it apart now. I figured it it was an electrical issue. My husband and I are both guilty for pressing snooze WAY too many times in the morning. Haha

They probably have The Office in Vudu. You don’t have a monthly subscription but you would probably have to pay to own them. (Also, you can do a dispute for those pumpkins through your bank. Probably even through your online banking so you wouldn’t have to go to a branch. I work in a bank, we see this a lot.)

Hey Jessica, about The Office. A cheap option would to just buy a VPN that can be used on all your devices, then you can put it to the UK and watch the office on Netflix or Amazon Prime :)

Laundry is NEVER ENDING LOL! I do laundry everyday, and I mean everyday. There are 6 of us in the House and I do 1 to 2 loads a day. Wash, Dry, Fold and Put Away.....everyday. My dryer is crap so I cut each load in half to dry. If I didnt, it would get so out of control, I totally feel you!
