Raoul Trüeb Mitch Grassi does whistle notes when he's goofing around but I haven't heard him use them in a song. I don't know what it's called, but there's something tangible that I can feel when Mitch sings certain notes. I have heard of sound being used to effect the energy of a room or person.. and that's the best reference I have to explain what I'm referring to. I just know that I listen to specific parts of live performances (over and over again) by Mitch on purpose when I need to feel whatever is being triggered by that tone. It's like a healing energy. Please expand on this. I know that singers can expand their range some with training. But isn't a lot of their ability just built into their natural range and vocal box? Lots of women can't even hit some of these notes. Just how much of it is training vs. natural ability? I'm not trying to say that these people haven't worked hard or practiced. But I'm also aware that people have different ranges. I'm just trying to get a good idea of how far one can get with training.
@crydoesstuff91556 жыл бұрын
hoosieraussis1 Training doesn't really work on range, it just allows you to support higher, thus allowing you to strain higher, so if you're a tenor, you might be able to support until Eb5, but that's probably all you can support up to, but you can strain about 5-6 notes higher than you can support, so in a way, you do increase your range, but you can't support or resonate above your type of range, understand?
@hoosieraussis16 жыл бұрын
That was a very good explanation. Thank you!
@gucciimochii46866 жыл бұрын
M4st3rM!nd this is a very good explanation indeed, I was wondering if it's the same for if you want to expand your range into lower notes? I just find it incredible when female singers sing in a low tone and I'd love to be able to do that
@crydoesstuff91556 жыл бұрын
Lou LittleSanity It actually does, though it's a bit difficult since you have to make your voice fuller when you go down your natural lower tessitura
@christopheryoeurng37226 жыл бұрын
Well all the singer's were using their mixed voice (where you mix their talking voice and head voice) and that makes higher notes a lot easier. Mitch grassi at the end was using a mask placed head voice where he basically compresses his head voice to make it sound more like mixed voice

@babyswithrabies4 жыл бұрын
@Just want the Best voice i disagree. i've looked at his range videos a lot. as far as i know he's sang an f2 in chest twice and that's his limit. a g2 in ogni petra. i'm sure he can breath out an e2 maybe lower on a good day but as far as usable notes go an f2 is pushing it for his voice. if you find something that contradicts me that's fine, but until then it's definitely an f2.
@babyswithrabies4 жыл бұрын
@Just want the Best voice "i believe he could breathe out an e2" are you even reading my comments? i literally just said that...why are you acting like you're bringing new information to me? i literally just said he could likely sing an e2. but, you've moved the goalposts of the discussion. you said he could hit a c2 without vocal fry...now you're talking about an e2...so you admit you were wrong i take it and that's why you're talking about something entirely different now? that's the only reasonable explanation i can think of for your actions. an f2 and an e2 are like 15hz away...if he can make his vocal cords come together 110 times a second to produce an f2 obviously he can make his cords occasionally come together 94 times to produce an e2. i never said any different...in fact i said that from the beginning. so no, this isn't about what i belive at all...it's about your lack of evidence for your claims and your constant logical fallacies in trying to have a simple discussion.
@arwengarraway91434 жыл бұрын

@SilentShane6 жыл бұрын
I'm an untrained singer who has no experience singing that has been using Sing by Smule for a little over 2 years to try and learn to sing, and my range is C2 to A5. Thats one note short of 4 Octaves. I just don't have the courage or knowledge to actually use it, but I can do it without pain.

I am an untrained singer and I can hit 3. Sometimes I can hit really low but going high is very difficult. @@lemonshrikecatworthy7964 notes that low shouldn't count...and neither should vocal fry really. i'm a tenor and i can slow down my vocal fry nearly off the keyboard...it's not that impressive. a1-a0 also doesn't equal a4-a5. from a1 to a0 your vocal cords have to come together 40 times less...from a4 to a5 your vocals cords have to come together 880 times more...the higher your vocal range the larger it is in frequency or hertz. tim storms is cool but the dude doesn't even really project an e2...he's like a lighter bass...he can just control the speed of his vocal fry really well and take it down super low. in my opinion ranges should be broken down and the important bits should just be your bottom chest note to your top head voice or flageolet note. and should probably be broken down even further into your chest voice (and chest dominate mix) basically the range you can sing in with power.

On the same token after years thinking I couldn't sing I realized it was actually I was trying to sing beyond what my voice could do. I've actually slowly learned how to sing better by just watching reaction videos. I can tell my voice isn't struggling as much to hit higher notes that I could not hit to save my life a few months ago.
