I hope Dan sees this. Leaving Ken speechless with goosebumps like us, is priceless.

"Son of Pain" a fitting song for Dan, obviously pulled on his heart strings. Some say it's because he went through quite a bad period of depression when he wasn't coping with his father's passing and he felt he wasn't succeeding as a singer. Dan wears his heart on his sleeve and for that we only love and adore him more. It kinda got to you too Ken, I've never heard you speechless!

Thank you, Ken, for another reaction to Dan and the insights on the vocal techniques in the beginning. Yes, Dan's emotions are breathtaking as they are very real here. Looking at the lyrics, knowing Dan went through a phase of depression years ago (but came out of it even stronger) gives this song a deeper meaning than it already has.

True Ken, after so many covers, Dan has left us silent, with no more words to qualify the greatness of his talent. Either it’s metal or any other genre, he’s capable of leading us to the exact reality the song wants to take us, to its world of magic and fantasy. Thank you for reacting to Dan once more. Fantastic reaction, you excelled yourself. Today you got my subscription, much well deserved 🙏🏻 BTW, if you haven’t reacted to Angels We Have Heard on High, it’s another exquisite rendition by Dan. …editing to add another excellent cover that is really worth watching, Heart of Steel, where you can see him talking about a very important problem he went through and millions of people are currently.

Hi! As usual, I did like your reaction. You don't just say that the singer has a beautiful voice, that he does a good job, or things like that. You go into the technical aspects of singing, which let us always learn something! I appreciate that and I thank you for that! Now, I think you should also react to Dan Vasc's "Last Ride of The Day" from Nightwish! I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

That song always, always hits the emotional high point for me. Fabio or Dan, it's immediate chills. In fact, Dan sounds a lot like young Fabio... He's actually doing two characters, the Angel and Dargor. Rhapsody's songs with the original formation were always part of a high fantasy saga, each album a new volume in the story. The music is one of the great triumphs of the las 50 years. It's breathtaking!

@@KristiStelzerthat is a beautiful song,,, and another beautiful but sombre number is the Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss duet, "Whiskey Lullaby", but again, unfortunately, probably not something that Dan would be interested in doing... In a way I'm a bit sad that he has become so well known because he was previously a tad more reachable and open to suggestions. Like all of our children, we must allow them to grow and spread their wings and find their own place in the world...😊 The last I heard, Dan was saying he has a couple of hundred songs on his list of requested covers, so it might take him a minute or two to get through them all, plus he is also currently working on the Manowar tribute album...😏 🙃🐨🇦🇺

Love your reaction, also his commitment, to bringing us top performances. He went through a lot, to get where he is today. Giving up a lot of things, we like, to conserve and grow his voice. No caffeine, no iced water, sugar, no alcohol before or during performances and a lot more, those can impact on the vocal chords. Have a book that he wrote on preserving and strengthening your vocal chords. Also he said he will leave his first video on his site, so that you can see the growth and strengthening of his voice, where he breathed wrong and at the wrong places. I have even more respect for him after that book.

American Trilogy, Son of Pain, the Last Goodbye were recorded after his Dad died. I'm sure these songs brought back the memories and pain of his father's passing. I was just explaining to someone this morning why reactions like yours (that is, by reactors who actually know what's happening and how - and can even sometimes make an educated guess at the "why" - not to mention being able to explain what's happening eloquently) are so much more worth watching than people who just sit there, clearly impressed by what's happening, but equally clearly clueless as to how it's happening. His tears were real and he is a truly remarkable singer who didn’t hide his pain, but let it flow out of him into this song. He tore my heart out and I was crying with him by the end of the song. I love Dan Vasc’s ability to draw the listener into the depths of the song, every shadow and nuance that can only be felt from life experience. He pulls the listener into the heart of the song right along with him. It’s like you are actually sitting right beside him while he is singing; it feels that personal.
