I lost myself trying to keep ahead of all the paydirt bags I was selling on ebay and Prospecting wasn't fun any more. I have stopped producing paydirt bags so now I'm not stressing about not finding good deposits. Back to fun. 250 of 200k.....well done ✔️

CHRIS. I have a suggestion for cleaning your megamat. You'll need a pair of straight tin snips, a brick bolster and a lump hammer or relatively heavy claw hammer. Measure the L and B of the megamat and add 160mm to each measurement. Purchase a sheet of galvanised sheet from a plumber's supply and mark that dimension at one corner and cut it. Dispose of the waste. (or not). With the sheet flat on the floor or bench, mark in from each edge 70mm and draw a line all around. Now again from the edge, mark all the way around a line about 7mm in from that edge. The bolster and hammer are used to crease the thin strip line on the opposite side to the crease hammered onto the 70mm line. make the creases with a piece of timber underneath as you do it. Only hammer hard enough to form a crease. Too hard and you could cut the metal. Practice on a piece of scrap metal you cut off. The 7mm mark needs to be folded down and flattened down, to stiffen up the 63mm side and the 70mm mark, which will now measure about 63mm, folded up 90 degrees to form a box. Before you flatten the 7mm strips down against itself, cut across each corner at 45 degrees, once you have bent it to 90 degrees, now continue to flatten it against itself with each corner having a neat 45 degree piece cut off on all 8 corner strips. When you fold up all four sides, you will have a peak of metal sticking out at each corner. Flatten the peaks, then fold them back against the sides of the box, you now have a waterproof box. As I said before, the sides will be stiffened up plus the sharp edge removed from the top of the box. Now you can drop the megamat dirt side down and cover it slightly with water. Use a suitable tool to beat the bottom side of the mat to shake off all the gold etc into the box. Cheers.

Dear Gus and Hardest Worker. Wet Pants. We thoroughly enjoyed this Video. We are Full atime Prospectors travelling Queensland, with our Caravan. I'm rapped in finding Partial Gold in Creeks , Seaside Creeks, etc. Ill get to the Chase. I Would love to send a photo of one of our Blue Pans, As we're spending countless Hours finding this Illusive shiny stuff Au. The Black sand drove us bonkers. So, We found some flat Round Magnets, and Glued them under the Back Edge , across from the Ripples , underneath the Pan.. The Iron black Sands gets trapped above the Magnets as we swirl, and wash the gold to the Ripples. Keep up the great Work you two. Mazal Tov Emek Dhiban

In order to keep from losing your fine gold in the smelt you need to glaze your potato or whatever your using for the smelt use the flux get it hot so it’s sticky and then add the gold otherwise the force of heat from the torch will send those tiny particles of gold flying through the air as well as embedding them into the carbon on the potato. Love the mega sluice looking forward to you getting it to a better spot thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼

I watch videos made in Scotland and England where the go back and forth between metric and imperial. It is the weirdest thing honestly.

Hey mate. I think you've gotta put a sluice that big into water flowing a little faster. Bigger riffels and a couple different types of matting might also increase the haul substantially, ontop of also having better ground to work on obviously. I'd also clean the mats out faster(30 mins instead of an hour) so it doesn't get overburdened to quickly and recovery efficiency of the mats don't decrease majorly. Maybe using a plastic tarp or something light you can turn it over and bang it onto quickly to atleast get a bunch of the concentrates/overburden out quickly before returning it to work(You dont need to fully clean it as the overburden will release from the mat the easiest anyway, which is what you want to get rid of) or just making up some extra carpet pieces would be even more efficient, then swapping them out as soon as it appears to have overburden forming. The part of the creek you were digging from actually looked a better spot, as it looked like it was running quicker near the center. Mr Wetpants has really added to the vibe of this channel, the banter between you 2 is fantastic and I hope you've been shouting him plenty of bevs. Well done on hitting 200k when it occurs!
